Maybe to avoid being accused of not letting a fighter continue for no valid/apparent reason? To take the blame away from him.

I'm not saying I don't believe him, just giving a possible explanation to your question.

I said 'in the ring'. Cintron said he wanted to continue a while after he was taken away from the ring.

I have to say this isnt surprising. Any sane person who was viewing the fight could see that Cintron was not seriously hurt. he looks for every excuse AFTER the fight. Any decent fighter could have continued from that minor fall. Cintron has ruined his career with his in ring behavior. He didnt deserve to fight Pwill anyhow

 come on man like we needed more proof this dude is a clown, everybody defending this Puta is delusional if they thought that "fall" could even hurt a 5yr old let alone a fighter.

Williams deserves nothing, at the time of the stoppage Cintron was winning the fight. Anyway the fight rules were announced as 4 rounds to be completed but when that happened the CSAC changed the ruling to make sure it wasn't a no contest. Jeez how many more gifts is Williams gonna get Martinez beat him but didnt get the nod , now Cintron??:patsch:barf

ROFLMAO I know a gentleman named Antonio The Tijuana Tornado who would relish another chance at Williams . But as Goosen said after the Cintron fight we aint interested in rematches. What he really meant was We got another gift decision too risky to rematch:patsch:roll:

You may be right. This changes everything. Instead of changing the official result to a no contest, time to switch it over to a TKO victory for Williams.

Perfect 2 punto **** cheaters. Marocheater can load his gloves and cintron and cry and quit like a *****, sounds like an awesome fight. You might be the only clown who'd be in the auidence.

its sad when the modern day gladiators try to use strategy to end a fight along with getting their paycheck. Just makes guys like Holyfield, Gatti define the word WARRIOR all the more better. I remember when Jose Ribalta was kncoled down by a huge uppercut from a prime 20 year old mike tyson, he gets up and the ref ask him if he wants to continue, his response " yeah, HELL YEAH"
a far cry from these other guys who roll around acting like nate cambell, bernard hopkins and now cintron

I would love to see cintron put in the ring with margarito again.
I wonder how he would do during that fight.
