Glad to see that Haye is trying to fight the best in the world...which means he is not even fighting the best fighter in London.

Look at all the Hayters out in full force again :D Dont worry Haye will fight a Klit sooner or later :deal

I will be in London to watch this fight if it does materialize just to see Audley get decapitated:nut

Remember when Haye ran from Vitali to Valuev? All the Haye fans told us here in long elaborate stories how Haye is "just looking to get more negotiating power, he will surely fight a Klit right after he grabbed the WBA belt from Valuev".

    Oh boy, fond memories!!!

to be fair to haye that did prove to be a better decision financially. he fought a giant, and the english media threw themselfs at it, and really took it on. he's made a very big name of himself against a much winnable fight against valuev than fighting vitali. i can't support him fighting audley though. what i really would like to know is how the negotiations went, and what was offered. that means alot.

Yes it was smart, but it wasn't what we wanted to see. It was smart in a con-artist kind of way. Just like Ronnie Biggs was smart robbing a train full of money and getting away with it. Smart, but in a criminal and despicable way.

I understand boxers don't really give a rat's ass about us boxing fans as they have to prepare a nest egg for themselves and their family -- after all, boxing careers tend to be relatively short and they have to live off of their career earnings after retiring.

The problem I have with Haye is not his general strategy of fighting only low risk high reward opponents, I have problems with how he is intentionally deluding us into believing he's NOT after money but he's after glory and putting his name in the history books. He talks of only wanting to fight the best, of "knocking out both Klits in 2010" while he knows that it's just a smokescreen to make more money for himself and his family -- while we're left standing in the rain.

Again, it's good for his bank account, good for him. But bad for us.

i must be in the minority, I would love Harrison to spark Haye, it would be magic.

However we all know that's not going to happen in a million years

Actually you are in the majority, since there are a lot of people that would like to see Haye getting his ass kicked. Hopefully Haye would finally shut the **** up then. He was funny at times, but nowadays he is just annoying.

Harrison's chances of pulling off the upset are about as good as those of an icecube in hell.

I'm a fan of Haye but you do get the feeling he's milking the title and fame for all it's worth rather than having confidence to try and clear up.

If this is true of course.

i wouldn't say it was smart in a con-artist sort of way. you got to rememner this is their job, and the way haye did it was he chose the job which he considerd to be the easier work for more money. if you was in that position wouldn't you choose a job if it meant more money, and most likely be easier work aswell? of course you would, but as boxing fans we just want to see the top fights happen, while the boxers have got to think abit differently. do i want to see the audley fight happen? of course not, but it will cause attraction in a britain, and it will get english media attention aswell. i don't think it'll do well as a PPV fight though.

did haye ever seem that confident the way he was picking and choosing his opponents? i don't think so personally. if he was confident i believe he would do what tyson, ali, and holyfield did and that's fight more often beating the top contenders before fighting for the title. he could fight alot more frequently, and that's what a really confident fighter would do IMO. i think haye saw the weakness in a certain world champion's chin " wladimir" and just thought i'll go for him, but now with the fame, haye's probably thinking ****inghell i can get paid more than i believed against much winnable opponents and still get paid a good amount than lose the interest by maybe getting destroyed. haye also could be thinking the opposite andthat the longer he waits, the more the interest will increase. who knows what's going through their head, all i know is a certain fight i want to see happen isn't happening yet, and that's pissing me off. that i do know.

So negotiations for a fight have collapsed and, with no first hand knowledge of what went on, people are sure they know which side to blame. Superb!!
