It looks like Nigel Benn (aged 54), and Chris Eubank (aged 52) are heading for a rubber match!

It seems like these things never really happen. Just pop up in the news once and disappear like a fart in the wind

 

They've been talking about this since 1996, not gonna happen.

 

Benn slays him. He's still in great shape whereas Eubank is too busy only dressing up and talking these days.

 

Mental but I'd watch it, popcorn and all.

About time we got the senior circuit back on track

 

Who’s excited to see these two have another go at it, 25 years later?

Apparently they’ve been trying to make it for the past 3 years and an official announcement is coming next week.

 

I find this so depressing. I'm a huge Nigel Benn fan, I have amazing memories of Benn fighting, some of my best boxing memories are of Nigel Benn, the best fight I've been to live was a Benn fight (McClellan).

So the idea of a 54 year old Benn fighting again actually makes me very sad.

If Benn and Eubank need the money and really want to do it then who am I to say they shouldn't but I definitely won't watch it.

 

Sad that is even being contemplated. Might of made sense after they did that Gladiator TV show some years ago, they clearly still had some genuine dislike for each other, but now, they are old men, Benn isn't the same savage he once was either he's softened with age and after getting some of his personal demons dealt with to some degree.

 

Both still need to get past BBBoC so fight might not happen even if both are serious about it.

If it does happen, as N17 said, might be a bit sad to see two guys in their 50’s in the ring.
