But you cannot reason like that. Because Joe was down against Hopkins, and since Pavlik hits harder, Joe will necessarily go down when he fights Pavlik.

Did you see the first uppercut in the fourth round that he ate when he fought Kessler.

It was a better punch than the one Hopkins caught Joe with in the first round.

Joe Calzaghe wins over Pavlik. And after that he should retire.

    If this pans out?

Its a huge LEGACY fight for both:good The real 60/68/75 Champion is the winner. Opportunities like this dont come often. I'll be very excited and give Calzaghe much respect for continuing to make it happen:yep

Course? I'm taking Pavlik and this fights a great fight.

    Finally.
I smell the end for cant break an egg, punches like a girl Calzaghe.
Pavilic has the jab and strength not to get pushed around.
His punch out put is right up there and his conditioning is top notch.
Now the cruncher --- his power.
Sooner of later he will find Calzaghe's chin.
    Goodnite.

    KP is a MW

    JC is a 168/175 fighter

More risky for KP and Joe has great workrate.

Roy may have just blown an opportunity to put some nice icing on his legacy with a fight that was all gift-wrapped for him.

Doesn't work that way. Kessler's an elite fighter, Pavlik is not, but it's still one of the better fights to make for the sport.

Calzaghe is expected to cream Pavlik, it'd be no surprise. You idiots who think he can't punch at all are in for a surprise, the 1 subpar performance against Hopkins doesn't take away any of his many masterful performances and this will be another one.

    Calzaghe TKO 5.

It Calzaghe does stop Pavlik it certaintly won't be due to his punching power. Pavlik will probably just get caught in a storm of flurries and get stopped due to his lack of retaliation/defense.

Oh man, KOing two B level fighters, he's going to just steamroll over one of the best fighters of this generation.

Accumulation a bit, but a flush Calzaghe left hook is a very strong punch, it's harder than anything in Taylor's arsenal. It could put Pavlik away.
