Why are so many putting weight behind this "B-Hop put him down and it wasn't even a good shot :silly" stuff.

Joe never seen the shot coming, ANY fighter can be put down with a shot he doesn't see. It was a cleverly timed counter punch that resulted in a flash KD that Joe got straight up from unhurt.

the mitchell fight is a bad example.

some of the lefts he landed on mitchell in the second during that insane onslaught were big ****ing shots that rocked mitchell to the core.

the danish boys in november were quality though, mainly because they were more drunk than me.

 

I think everyone likes watching Pavlik fight, how can you not? but there are so many huggers (not you though i might add) that overhype him that there is an inevitable backlash.

When pavlickers make outrageous claims based on dodgy evidence then pavlik's weaknesses are unavoidably brought up to counter these arguments.

He's a very solid middleweight champion. But that's all he's proved so far. When he's proved more then those of us not on the bandwagon will happily give him more props.

theres also alot of people who think he is the second coming of god, but most of the board are pretty 50/50 on this guy.

I think he is rather slow, has limited boxing skills, does what he does well, packs a hell of punch, has a great chin, and has great mental fortitude.

I'd say the risk/reward is alright for Calzaghe - he'll get credit for facing a young, hungry, dangerous fighter as opposed to an ageing legend (RJJ).

And, after beating Pavlik, Calzaghe can watch him come back and do great things.............which will add to Joe's legacy.

 

Woah I wouldn't go that far ...Pavlik has been a little more successful than Lacy has ...
