This does make perfect sense:lol: A tough guy like Pavlik losing from multiple slaps would be too much to bear ...I dont think I would be able to watch the sport anymore.

I much rather see Joe face Kelly than a shot RJJ. This will be a great fight and I can't wait.

If Joe gets beat he slips down P4P list, all of sudden Hopkins was over the hill, Calz never beat anyone and he fought a blown up MW in Pavlik.

If Pavlik gets beat, he's beaten by P4P #3, he's gone up a weight and it was too soon for him.

I think for hard core fans this would cement Joe as a top quality boxer, for casual fans its risky

 Can we pretend Joe has already won so you'll **** off now?
Seriously try being a fan of the entire sport instead of liking/hating particular fighters.

I miss hating on James Toney, Antonio Tarver and Sergio Mora too much! Sorry :good

And I don't hate Calzaghe at all nob, I just don't think he can beat Pavlik and don't want to be around this board and all his flaming fans....you know the ones that were comparing him to SRR after the Kessler fight....if he does beat him :deal

This is a major legacy fight for Calzaghe

    more than the Roy fight

No kidding, after the Kessler fight Joe Calzaghe was being regarded as on the same level as Sugar Ray Robinson by some on this forum....can you only imagine if he beats Pavlik???

Pavik could become the new lacy if calzaghe is 100%, but he is getting older and slower now and it only takes one mistake for pavlik to punish him. Should be a good fight.

You think Pavlik has enough power to KO Joe with a punch?

I don't. I doubt he'll even hurt Joe at any point.

Man, JC has got some stones if he does take this fight at this point in his career, especially if he goes back down to 168 for the fight. I was convinced he was going to go for the circus show against Roy to finish his career.

Full respect to both men for taking this dangerous fight at critical junctions for each of them. Assuming that they actually do make the fight. I'll believe it when its signed.

1, he clearly wasnt hurt by that shot

2, kessler dropped bombs on him and didn't drop him

3, just because fighter A does something to fighter B doesn't mean C will do the same
