I can't see him gettin knocked out in one punch but he could be knocked down and hurt badly, calzaghe recovers well tho. As i said 100% calzaghe wins, but its he's not as fast, slower reactions, not as agile etc, i see pavlik hurting him at some point with accurate hard punches.

All in all, i expect calzaghe to win.

Hopkins landed a perfect counter punch right on the button.

The difference is, Pavlik won't land a perfect counter punch right on the button.

    Brilliant!!

I hate the way people use that argument! Has Frazier-Foreman-Ali taught us nothing?

****, I wanted to see Slappy fight Jones. Oh well, We'll just have to settle for seeing Joe get KTFO!

Kelly's not that dangerous for Joe. :yep

I'd be grateful to Calz for finally ending the Pavlik supremacy in the weight range nonsense (someone has to), but this win would in no way deserve more credit than the one over Mikkel. Maybe slightly more than the one over old Hopkins.'

Honestly, from a stylistic advantage, diminished-speed Jones is probably more dangerous than Pavlik.

Uhhh, you should rethink this. Pavlik has an output that's almost as high as Calzaghe's, except his punches hurt. If Hopkins can knock Calzaghe down, I'd be worried about what Pavlik might do to him. Wait, what weight will this fight be at?

Its great to see all these big name fighters saying to hell with the weight classes, and going after each other.

Let's hope Pavlik KOs the slapper.

But I think Pavlik will get slapped quite alot before he manages to land. So to train for Calzaghe, Pavlik needs to have his mother, or sister, slap the sh*t out of him, in order to get used to what is coming his way.

Hopkins knocked Calzaghe down by making him come on to him, then landing a sneaky, perfect right hand counter.

PAVLIK WILL NOT BE COUNTERING JOE.

Some of you people are so thick. Calzaghe - Pavlik is a completely different fight to Hopkins - Calzaghe, Joe will be playing a different role this time.

    1. He said he was hurt. I believe him. Why don't you? Feel free to explain yourself :good

    2. Just because Fighter A couldn't do something to fighter c, doesn't mean fighter b can't

    3. Do you not think Pavlik will hit Joe clean?
