Hypothetically... if Calzaghe beats Pavlik in say September then presumably he will still hold LHW, SMW and then MW titles. Will he be the first to hold 3 different weight belts since Henry Armstrong?

 

Maybe thats how you like to do things. Maybe some of us only care about certain fighters. Some fights are just complete **** to watch.

Do you watch every freakin soccer game on TV or only the games where teams you like or hate are involved?

boooo, man Calzaghe is going to smother Pavlik and slap him to a UD. Power alone cant win him this fight. I mean I will tune into to watch no doubt. But I dont see what every1 else is seeing. Pavlik slow of foot will hurt him in this fight, and Clazaghe is gonna slap him 2 death.
But whatever. I wanna see the RJ fight. either way whomever gets 2 fight Clazaghe. I will tune in

Pavlik is going to get destroyed. I only hope his dedicated fanboys do not jump ship after this, and cast him aside as a hypejob. He still has potential to do good things in the sport.

 

Could be a ploy to make roy lower his price, though Joe has called out Pavlik before.

The only reason the RJJ fight was good for Joe is because he would be well paid, if not he may aswel go for PAvlik which is a better win for him anyway.

I like Pavlik. He get's a lot of stick on this forum which he dosen't deserve. Mainly because of attitudes like yours, I can't believe your practically admitting your a fan of a particular fighter rather than boxing as a whole. I mean there's nothing wrong with having a favourite fighter but your just taking the ****.

As for the fight, if it happens then kudos to the pair of them. JC because he's clearly deteriating and to KP as he's at a horrible stylistic disadvantage.

 

I think Pavliks only hope would be if it was made at middleweight.

 

Massive balls by Calzaghe to put his record at risk? RJJ would have been better for him. I'm sure he got plenty of money and the hometown advantage. Doubt if he would risk fighting outside of Wales for his last fight. Also very seriously doubt RJJ would have asked for too much money. He has nothing lose and everything to gain here?

Big fan of zag AND pavlik, seriously tho lads...joe will put on an absolute clinic against pavlik, comparing pavlik to hopkins is ridiculous, theres no way on earth pavlik has the same shot in him that put joe down, that shot was a 100% peach of a shot timed to perfection as joe came in. You don't have to walk backwards in order to counter. You can move forwards and counter. Fighters have been known to do this occasionaly.
