I don't think Ward has any intention of coming out of retirement. Ployers gonna ploy.

Gvozdyk was the second educate yourselves thread I made, Usyk was the first, how is saying a guy I genuinely believe in the talent of, is capable of beating a man that Kovalev beat the first time around, hate? I rate Gvozdyk's skill level as highly as I do Kovalev, no hate whatsoever, its been my assessment of that potential fight long before Ward ever faced Kovalev, I wrote in on some of Rummy's vids he did on Ward.

I like Bivol, but I only give him a 55-45 chance, whereas I give Gvozdyk a 70/30 chance.

I have no issue on your opinion of the matchup even if i disagree with it. Thats what makes being a sports fan great is that we can have differing opinions and the only way to see whos right is for guys to step in the ring and it all gets answered which is great.

This is what i had more an issue with which no matter how you want to put it sounds like sour grapes:

"Remember it took Ward a fight and a half to beat a poorly disciplined unfocused half trained Kovalev who was half assing it, and that was with everything weighted in his favor, his personal ref, judges and a goddamn traitorous trainer feeding him info on the Krusher."

This is too take credit away from Wards wins. Sure i thought Kov won the first fight but it was close. The second fight people wanted to use the low blow nonsense as an excuse for why Ward won the fight. Now after the fight its that Kov wasnt prepared, wasnt trying bla bla bla. Its been nothing but excuse after excuse. If he wasnt prepared thats on him. He is a proffessional and got his ass handed to him at the end of the day through the better part of two fights. Started off slow in the first gained momentum in the second half of the fight and took that to the second fight where he dismantled Kov. Those are the facts.

Sorry man, I don't see it that way, Kovalev was at every disadvantage in the rematch, and personally I don't think Ward dominated him the second time around, I had Kovalev up at the time of the stoppage. I've said all of this since the fight ended, this isn't sour grapes, its my genuine opinion, Kovalev got screwed by everybody here. And the low blows were low blows.

I got Ward over anyone at LHW, but I don't believe this is promo for an impending fight between the two. These guys probably just met through their respective work under HBO's banner, took a staredown snap and put it out as a red herring to get fans talking (worked, of course).

Ward, I expect, is looking at cruiserweight or heavyweight for his next project.

If he was literally kicking his ass im sure the referee would of allowed it. He allowed punches to the balls so he certainly had no problem with Ward going below the belt line.

When did you see Kovalev's balls? As far as I know men don't have balls right under the naval.

What? Was that the only time you'd seen him? Goddamn this is such a what have you done lately sport. Wow, he took his time working some stuff out on a slab of meat, does that somehow easily erase the star making violent destruction of Yunieski Gonzalez a few months earlier? Guess what, he won't show up using a guy as a punching bag/sparring partner when he has to take another step up in competition.

Ward didn't dominate early but he landed the cleaner punches and made Kovalev miss almost every right hand he delivered. Even though Kovalev landed slightly more in the first six rounds, he was DONE after that. Ward was starting to take Kovalev to school. How is that not impressive ignoring several borderline low blows (they were damn close to be fair)?

With that being said, Ward on the top of his game would win a competitive but clear decision overly the refined but basic Bivol. Gvozdyk would probably be the guy with the goods to win a close decision over Ward mainly due to style and work rate.
