It looks like Ward wants to comeback to fight Bivol.

Nah, Bivol is as legit as it gets. Unless he has some chin issues.

Gonzalez wasn't very good either. I'm not saying the kid isn't talented. I'm just saying that I wasn't impressed the last time out. I was more impressed with what I've seen of Bivol.

    LOL

Ward is far from perfect either.

Gvozdyk's weakness could be his inside game but his judgement of distance in regards to footwork and combination punching is the best at 175 bar none.

There is a reason why Gvozdyk is still fighting in a stacked 175 division and Ward has gone into early retirement.

If Kovalev can consistently out jab Ward then Gvozdyk who has imo a better jab and commits to throwing in 4s, 5s and 6 punches in combination then that is a very tough night for Ward.

So is Ward now ducking Joshua? Isn't that how easily that works with the forum idiots? Or is he ducking bellew, since he said that's possible? After all...well, we know where this is going.

I'm big on Gvozdyk but I'm not sure his jab is better than Kovalev. Kovalev's strongest attribute is his command of distance. I'd give that to Krusher over Gvozdyk. Ward struggled with it all 12 rounds in the first fight. I do think Gvozdyk may have more tools to make better use of their shared strength though. It's similar to how I think Jacobs is a bigger puncher than GGG but at the same time I think GGG is the BETTER puncher. On the other hand I think Gvozdyk takes a few more risks in the ring than Kovalev. When against an intelligent boxer like Ward that could be exploited. Ward/Kov I was so close because Kovalev stuck to his strengths. He didn't rely on his punching power which is what the majority of the casual audience thinks is his biggest attribute but he stuck to that Jab all night giving Ward little to exploit.

Getting a gift decision in the first fight and resorting to illegal tactics including low blows in the 2nd fight isn’t “conquering” anyone you dumb dumb. Lol!

I thought Kovalev was suppose to be some big, tough, slavic warrior? I guess he is just some mental midget who can't handle getting hit back when no one buys your scary routine built by some network. He got conquered and you need to deal with it, just don't shoot up some public area you psychotic twink.

Lol! Your hero got a gift decision in that first fight and 75% of fans and boxing pundits feel that way. Also why is it more people hate Ward now more than ever??? It’s because most people aren’t deluded and saw what Ward did in the 2nd fight to get the ‘victory’ ;)

I know it sucks that it’s not as black and white as “B.. Bu.. But it’s a W in da history books doe!” But it’s 2018 and people have many outlets to watch fights back and see for themselves. They also have guys like me in forums and comments that will ALWAYS remind them of what REALLY happened in those fights ;) Lol Sucks for you.

Kovalev. Another monster turned victim. I forgot to include him. Thanks for the reminder.

Bivol? Really? He's only just starting to get a push from HBO now. Maybe in a couple of years he could be a huge lucrative payday (the kind you would think it would take for Ward to break off his retirement) but after that long it would be a SRL vs. Hagler type scenario, and I don't think SOG is quite SRL.

Bivol is only just now stepping out from the shadows as the worst-kept secret of the boxing hipsters & diehards, and starting to garner mainstream appreciation. He's also incredibly dangerous h2h, for anybody in the division. This isn't the kind of risk to reward quotient you would expect a cautious guy like Dre to go for. I'm thrown.

if Gvozdyk is the real deal, why is he fighting a bum in his next fight? and Bivol is fighting a serious top 5 opponent?
