It must suck being an elite prize fighter in this day and age

For every 1 fan you have, 3 haters are right behind him.
You lose a fight you are no longer relevant, washed up, never good to begin with, so called fans throw you under the bus.. I just don't understand people sometimes...:tired:-(

U are so right. Once you lose you are expected to retire. And Floyd apparently wont fight anyone who has ever lost...... even if was 10 years ago. Starting now.

Very true... Cotto reached a high level and beat some fighter at that level. That's not his case imo.

i agree for the most part, except for the retirement thing. There is nothing wrong with wanting a fighter to retire if you dont see the point of him continuing anymore, better just retire and enjoy life. Too many people around here think theres some magic number of beatdowns you can recieve before you start slurring words and sorry but thats not the case. There should be important reasons for continuing fighting, and if Cotto doesnt want to anymore then i think he should indeed, retire. Nothing wrong with that, its sad people think there IS something wrong with that actually imo.

I highly doubt that at all. A lot of fans respect Cotto, he has fought everyone and anyone. He is one of the most exciting fighters out there to date. Cotto was the only one that gave Pacquiao legitimacy through the eyes of the media, and that's due to the respect that people have for Cotto.

It takes two fighters to make a fight, unfortunately one has to lose. If you continually fight the best, as Cotto has, loses sometimes happens.

I think it's a legit question, to ask what Cotto has left? It's not easy to go through what he has gone through, so I think that's a legit question.
