It' s hard to rate Wilder when it comes to ATG rankings but I think he is at least A-level.

I've been watching a lot of boxing lately. I'm talking Mercer vs Morrison, Holyfield vs Tyson, Tyson vs Ruddock, Bowe vs Holyfield, and Lewis vs Mercer. Although these guys were great they were far from unbeatable. People make it seem like there is a huge disparity between Wilder and Tyson but I just don't see it. Tyson, although the more skilled fighter, never really fought someone as dangerous as athletic and powerful as Wilder. Holyfield would be too small for this era and Mercer and Tua were at best on the same level as Brezeale and Ortiz. Why do people constantly make it see like past HW are head and shoulders above todays HWs/

They think it makes them a more hardcore boxing fan if they slurp over past fighters.

Extra brownie points if they were fighting in black and white.

God the you'd reckon Wilder beat AJ the was his bois are going on..

The reality is if Tyson Fury had a bit of power Wilder would have been twitching on the canvas in the 2nd round. That just shows you the gulf between the Elite and Wilder...

Fighting 40 odd bums doesn't make you an ATG...

BUT WOULD YOU REALLY FAVOR TUA AND MERCER AGAINST WILDER WHEN THEY WERE VASTLY INFERIOR?

For ATG Wilder needs to fight AJ/Whyte & best H/Ws,Fury & AJ need these fights as well to be ATG.
For now AJ faced the better fighters out of the three, but now has lost one fight.
How will Wilder & Fury get on fighting the same guys AJ has no-one asked this.

I think both Wider and Fury would beat Ruiz.

Yeah I think all 3 of them can beat each other opponents which is why the 3 of them were the standouts amongst the current heavies. Until that is, before Joshua got beat by Ruiz.

How can you consider Wilder an ATG when he’s beaten nobody? If that’s the case, what do we rank Fury for beating him coming off the sofa after drink, drugs and that jägerbomb party at Euro 2016? Turn it in Ffs.

Wilders best opponent by far has been Fury and he was gifted a draw in that fight. His only redeeming quality is that right hand. Its possibly the best right hand we have seen for decades and it has gotten him this far, against sub par competition. When he stepped up he was exposed pretty badly.

The Mercer that gave Lewis all he could handle and that put Morrison to the sword would be a hard nights work for any heavyweight that ever existed, including Wilder. Tua had a chin that could deflect a High Velocity, Armour piercing sabot round from an Abrams tank at point blank range and given the BS that Wilder talks, the likes of Tua and Mercer would be well up for cracking Wilders less than granite chin.
