but I just remember Pacquiao fighting JMM at 135 but coming into the fight weighing 144-15ish. I think those numbers are much more accurate than what they boil down to.

Him fighting at middleweight is the equivalent of Pac fighting at WW pretty much.

That junk don't even make sense. You trying to play word games to validate a stupid ass remark. How Duran and Pac managed their careers has no bearing on how Floyd manages his. Every weight division Floyd has been in, he has dominated. Pac or Duran can't say that. Pac and Duran has lost and been knocked out in a most gruesome manner.

 

And to be honest, not every fighter "got great" on the basis of moving weight classes.

Hagler, Ali, Louis, Monzon all come to mind as guys who fought at one weight pretty much their entire career.

 

Well we can exclude HWs from this conversation for obvious reasons.

 

GGG is gonna steamroll the MWs. while being available to jump down to 154 or up to 168 for really 'dramatic' fights, that is, if anyone in those weight classes is willing to get hammered.

 

Theres nobody for Floyd to fight. Hasn't been for 3 years.

 

Maidana actually beat the **** out of him in the first fight, when a real impartial ref - Weeks- was in control. You can bet Weeks will never be inside the same ring with floyd again...:rofl:yep

 

I think it is more interesting that people get so defensive about Floyd moving up in weight. That's cause they know someone really good and close to prime like GGG will tap that rear. TBE should be able to go up in weight and handle his business. "Lessor" fighter have done it. It's not the weight. It's just that GGG is the type of fighter Floyd avoids. A fighter who will knock him out and show what a safe cherry picker he really has always been.
