It seems Usyk has bulked up for the rematch, will this help him or hurt him in the fight?

If he goes into the rematch bigger than he was in the 1st fight will this slow him up? Make him more vulnerable to get caught by a big shot from Joshua? Or will he use this extra strength to bully Joshua and take him out instead of relying on the judges again? Is it the right strategy from Usyk? He was so nimble in the 1st fight, why would he want to change that all of a sudden? Is his mindsight, fight fire with fire, since AJ is going to be more aggressive in the 2nd fight? It's a big question mark going into this fight and makes it a little more interesting imo.

    What do you guys think?

I think he is better served how he was as the athletic dancing bear.

Still itt could be un wise to do nothing as Joshua has been quite vocal & proactive in changing his game plan to brawl & maul Usyk in the rematch… it’s intriguing.

He can come in heavier, he can come in lighter, he can come in the same, and he will win one way or the other.

Definitely help him when AJ tries to muscle him on the inside which i feel he'll do more of in this fight with Robert Garcia in his corner. Also it might help with his punch resistance as well. We'll see in 3 weeks time.

have never believed in changing fundamental things...i.e....if it ain't broke don't fix it. everything was working for him...don't see the need to bulk up. we will know on fight night. more weight..more muscle needs more oxygen. increases chances of gassing. I think it is a liability.

Well, AJ said that he will use some dirty tactics against Usyk. lean, wrestle, try to bully.

Maybe Usyk thinks that he don't need that much speed against AJ, and it will benefit him if he comes heavier

I think Usyk understands that he needs KO in order to win this rematch.

Hinder him. His whole game is based on being loose and bulk doesn't help with that. His stamina will take a hit too. Should've stayed the same and cracked AJ hard and early and watch his so called new approach fold.

Honestly he doesn't look that much bigger. Could just be a side effect of training hard. As long as he keeps his speed and stamina it won't be a problem

Last time he showed himself standing on a scale reading 20ish lbs more than he actually did on fight night.

I think this is just his process, adding a little weight then getting leaner.

    Not to mention outpunched.

Exactly, taking a photo with the pump makes you look a solid 5% heavier. We won't know until the weigh in.

wait until weigh in . then will know if he's heavier or not

we get this talk every heavyweight fight. a couple of photo on internet. "wow he bulked up!" "wow he slimmed down!" "he's too bulky now" "he's too skinny!" "wow he's ripped!" "Oh no, he's so fat!" "what is the game plan with new physique and weight??" "Will it hurt or hinder?"
    "this is good news"
    "this is bad news"

    Lol

usually most times comes the weigh in & boxer is same as usual. or is complete opposite of what was speculation!

Joshua's phony muscles are all for show anyway. He has no power, no strength. Lol

Usyk knows what's best for him. He will finish AJ off this time, so he knows how much he should weigh.
