Daley made a mistake and acted a dick but he's hardly evil.

If he smashes Nick Diaz, the fans would want to see him back under the UFC banner.

Dana would be foolish to exclude him. Especially as GSP and Shields will move up to 185 regardless of what happens in their fight (most probably anyway) and Daley Vs Ellenberger, BJ, Fitch (awful stylistic matchup but you get what I'm saying) Koscheck again (as before with Fitch) would all be interesting matchups.

Only if Daley apologises Flea man, and that hardly looks likely.

Daley will be suffering from a major black out as far as the media is concerned. Remember the days when Zuffa we hyping Arlovski as the best heaveyweight in the world, you didnt hear them mention a peep about Fed, Nog & Cro Cop. And if anyone doesnt comply, then they wont get anywhere near a Zuffa event. And it has happend before. He'll only be mentioned on message boards and the Zuffa Zombies will duely respond with 'He cant be any good because he doesnt fight in the UFC. That where the best are' And this doesnt just apply to Paul either

It will be like he doesnt exist

Well to be fair as good a fighter as he he has serious stylistic shortcomings that would stop him ever progressing far in the UFC. I mean seriously how many more fighters are there that could do exactly what Koscheck did to him?

Correct. If you can wrestle even a little bit I think you can beat Daley. But anyone that stands with him can get KTFO, but that is pretty much it.

he chose this way of living so now he has to fight whoever the boss (dana) tells him to fight. Hopefully ufc-strikforce-wec change their rankings and give everybody who deserves it get a title shot.

fitch-penn-diaz-shields-koscheck-alves-daley etc. Gonna be some good challenges to get a title shot.

How can you call yourself informed and you post this? Just from what I know I spot five errors in your post.

    1. "Fiscally they were absolute sound." - the owners of Strikeforce, Silicon Valley, had been looking for investors going back to early last year; you're not necessarily looking for investors if business is awesome because when business is awesome, you'd naturally want to keep all the money for yourself

    2. "I looked at last years figures and SF had a very good year." - you didn't look at last year's figures because they're a private company; you may have looked at attendance, gates, and ratings, but you know nothing of how much everything cost to run the place, and I think that's the issue

    3. "Why did Coker want to sell" - this one is incredibly dumb, Coker is not nor has he ever been decision-making owner of Strikeforce, Silicon Valley was; Coker just ran it and was the company's public face, similar to Dana White in the UFC, Dana White is not the majority decision-making owner of the UFC, the Fertittas are, Dana's just the mouthpiece and owns a token 10%

    4. "Why did Coker want to sell" x 2 - Silicon Valley did not want to go to war with the UFC financially because they knew in the end they'd lose, so the company was quietly for sale; they had two bidders - Pro Elite and Zuffa; Pro Elite are the people that formerly ran EliteXC; Pro Elite kept bidding and Zuffa kept increasing their price to go higher than Pro Elite's bid; source for everything up to here is Dave Meltzer, who, living in the San Jose area, is obviously heavily tied into them for his sources

    5. "I mean SF has been around since the 80's long before the UFC was even a thought in the Gracies kitchen." - Strikeforce's raison d'etre originally was to provide events for the Shark Tank when their first MMA event was held in 2006, Silicon Valley outgrew that obviously once they bought EliteXC and signed Fedor; case of a small guy going into the big pond, but at the end they're an arena-based business and that doesn't jive with an international MMA promotion in terms of risk; they did good for themselves though, they sold for $40 million; and comparing kickboxing from the '80s to MMA now as far as interest and money is a complete scalar difference generationally, it's a bit like saying Gary Shaw because he's been in boxing a long time he could wipe the floor with Zuffa promotionally because they're new kids on the block (which is to bring up his failure running EliteXC, but before a smartass tries to do anything with this, two words for you: Pontiac Silverdome)

Don't be such an obtuse ****
Informed? Do i work for Coker? Or Dana? Do you? If you can spot 5 glaring errors seeing as you have the inside scoop simply mention them instead of being a *****. All those questions were NOT rhetorical. But you knew that didn't you? :patsch

I don't have the inside scoop. This is all information that is readily available publicly if you or anyone else goes READ it. So I don't understand what your point is with such a post unless you're intentionally trying to mislead people or you have a warped view of the world that does not exist in reality. You might as well be blaming Don King for Pacquiao-Mayweather never occurring.

And you're seriously accusing me of being a *****? Let's compare my one post in this thread to all of yours.

Unless you work for Strikeforce and know something that isn't in the public domain you're full of ****. The motivation isn't clear at all as to the sale of SF. The UFC apparently made a number of offers back in December of last year. Coker said there was no deal on the table for the UFC. Pro Elite amongst others had interests in purchasing SF but no one has been absolutely clear as to the motivation. For a FACT SF was having one of their best years ever and did very well on Showtime. As i said you want to play the esoteric line here so pull a better card than some subjective **** you've just pulled from your ass.

I know they're private stupid. You have access to the internet right because you posted here. News flash the internet contains ALOT of information. I make my own summisations from that. Then i post my opinion here because its a message board. Why not stick to the topic instead of rambling on about the precise definition of what YOU think their figures are? They're not a public ****ing company and neither is the UFC but their figures are still readily available, so why state the obvious like your soooo informed?!! :patsch

Sure it is dum dum... Because you're Scott Coker right? You know something that no other MMA journalist or website knows. Again all you've stated is meandering anecdotal bull****. WE KNOW COKER is the face of SF. He is the CEO and on that basis alone he has responsibility for the day to day runnings of the company. Why infer something that i didn't imply only to then mention the obvious that there's a bunch of stakeholders in SF? Really?!?! Geez any other revelations? What next waters still wet?
How about you ANSWER the question and tell the board the precise reasons and nature of the sale as to WHY SF was sold? Now go away and consult your crystal ball.

Scott Coker doesn't agree with you. He stated categorically that in early March that the UFC was NOT part of any deal. Pro Elite was on the table. Iv already mentioned this. Go back and rub your crystal ball some more...

I don't need a history lesson from you thanks. My point was informational nothing more or less. Either way your entire paragraph is irrelavent and add's nothing of any merit to the discussion. All in all your entire post was a huge heap of fail and hasn't added one ounce of information that isn't already known. All you've done is regurgitate information that's already in the public domain. And yet you have the audacity to call yourself informed. :patsch

So let me get this i ask a bunch of QUESTIONS but somehow im misleading people? Riiiiiiiight  English your first language? Do you understand what a QUESTION is?

Did i say i was an authority on the topic? Did i imply that logic via my questions? Have my posts indicated this? No no and no. Your's consist of irrelevant assumptions and comparisons of no merit. Maybe you should learn to change your delivery. Who knows you might get the desired response rather than being called a ***** which is how you're acting.

    O yeah before i forget :lol::lol::lol:

Go pay and subscribe to this site, http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/ , listen to the second Saturday audio update. The first audio update Saturday was a general reaction piece to it occurring. The second update was after (you can tell) he talked to people inside Strikeforce.

Doing well on Showtime has nothing to deal with the financial state of the company last year because Showtime gave them a flat fee while their cost outlay certainly went up based on fighters they had signed (e.g. Fedor, Henderson). Even on gates, for Fedor for example he drew less in San Jose in 2010 than Gina Carano-Cris Cyborg, who got paid far less. Not to mention their Showtime exclusivity was threatened as M-1 was practicing entryism.

Because I'm pointing out where you're wrong and you've acted in this thread and others like you're the most high-fallutin' obnoxious son of a b*tch that knows everything where you write a very narrow point of view on the MMA world and criticize anyone that dares to bring light that your narrow point of view doesn't exist in reality.

If you want we can put it up to a vote. On your side is yourself and Stoo, on the other side is almost everyone else in this thread.

Here's a hint: Coker wasn't the person that made the decision. And other MMA journalists and websites do know because...they went and talked to these people, and then aired it.

People such as yourself represent everything I hate about the people that post on this message board. Why don't you go create a thread calling people *****s and *******s? It's all people such as yourself are good for. They don't talk about what they're here to seemingly enjoy (boxing, or in this case MMA), they just post sh*t and how dare anyone point out they're fall of sh*t.

Scurlarantings: "That's not true, I post quality material and engage in debate". Is that the case? Well let's have a look:
