What could have been done differently and can it still be saved? Who do you think will win? Abraham KO12 Taylor (Taylor out... he had been stopped in 12 by Froch prior to the Super 6) Dirrell WDQ11 Abraham (Dirrell out, Dirrell had lost to Froch L12) Kessler W12 Froch (Kessler out, Kessler had lost to Ward) Ward W12 Green (who replaced Taylor) That leaves Ward, Froch, Abraham, and Green. Glen Johnson has replaced Kessler, not sure who will replace Dirrell yet. Froch will fight Abraham Green will fight Johnson Ward will fight TBA (I heard he's tough) I'm still interested but disappointed as well. Hey, we got to see some meaningful fights because of it and a few more meaningful fights will come out of it. That's all I really care about.
What was the eventual goal of this super 6 **** anyway? In a regular tournament the eventual winner emerges after the fights outcomes are determined..finally there's two guys at the top of the heap, like the heavyweight tournament for Ali's vacated title back in the late 60's...this damned super 6 thing just keeps going on and on in circles...like Froch and Arthur still going on after they were defeated.
It was too ambitious. A regular tournament would have been better, with the losers being eliminated. It's difficult enough to get fighters to sign for one risky fight these days.
