I think Garcia will lose, but I also don't want to count someone like him out. I'm very happy that this fight is happening and hope both fighters are able to perform to the best of their abilities on that night.

 

I was surprised how big Thurman and Porter were,I'm just glad that DG is finally stepping up after a glut of poor fights.

I've said it before: if a fighter wins on points I mark it down as a no contest because a points win, well that's only for the feather fisted.

 

Personally I never considered Garcia a big puncher even at 140, although he hits solidly enough.

Garcia is a classic overachiever imo, he's not great at anyone thing but he's solid in every department.

 

I see Garcia winning this , not a fan but he does time fighters like Thurman very well.

Plus Thurman aint all that .

 

Thurman looks massive compared to Garcia, i think the difference in size and difference in power will be very evident come fight time.

Garcia is very good at exploiting sloppiness, Thurman though has decent boxing skills, and all his big shots come from range, so i don't see Garcia's countering being of much use.

I'm confident that Thurman can outbox Garcia, i also think if they get into a dog fight Garcia will get stopped.

 

I'm not impressed with Thurman one bit I have to say. His best wins are calculated fights with war torn opponents like Ghost and Porter and he didn't look great in either fight.

Porter has taken mad damage from Brook and got floored by Broner. He clearly is damaged goods. I like him don't get me wrong and he's one of the few true warriors left in the sport but Thurman is a primaddona who I don't think has taken a real risk yet in his career. For that reason alone I will be cheering Danny.
