It took nearly having his life ended by JMM for Pac to finally accept drug testing.

It was ridiculous (the weight penalty demand), but it was a direct response to the drug testing demand Floyd jumped out with. Remember......Floyd wanted to dictate the negotiations or attempted to strong arm PAC as if he was the only P4P king at the time. Manny was just attempting to hit back at Floyd because from jump the "negotiations" looked more like a train wreck than two sides looking to make a fight.

With all that said......Floyd missed weight in his fight with JMM....that was the reasoning for demanding the weight penalty... It wouldn't have come up if Floyd went about negotiations like most professional fighters .

How much should JMM make? He made $6 mil to Pac's $20+ mil. JMM scored the KO and deserves a higher purse, maybe not higher than Pac's but higher nonetheless. $20 million was his "aim high, expect low". He didn't say "$20 million, take it or leave it." Arum could've countered with $10 million, then they meet in the middle. JMM fought him 4 times, don't say **** like "he knows he will never defeat Pac" because that didn't stop him from trying 4 times.

JMM deserved a bigger paycheck but not $20 million. He's not the draw even though he scored the come from behind Knockout. JMM was firm on that purse which is why they moved on. Juan didn't want the fight but he had to at least try to see if he could hit the lotto off the biggest win of his career. But he already said he wasn't going to fight Manny again after that win and said it would take a LOT of money for him to risk it.
