At least he was man enough to admit his mistake, unlike so many other referees in the past, such as Cole, perhaps the worst referee in boxing today. Bayless appears to be honest. Boxing needs to use instant replay ASAP like other sports, it's very badly needed................

Bayless is a good ref.i read somewhere that hes in his 60r. He looks like hes only in his 40s. Anyone else notice Russell Mora giving warnings for low blows on the undercard, unlike Kats/Guerrero where he almost ruined the fight by taking points with no warnings. It stopped Kats from going to the body when he was having success with it.

Also overcame cancer as well. Glad he's in our sport he's one of few refs i trust and know he's looking out for fighters best interest.

Him and Steve Smoger are my fav refs.

"A lot of people wanted a little more out of the fight but I thought the fight had a little mixture of everything in it. You gotta be willing to take the good with the bad."

He expects way too little from fighters earning millions.

Pac was bad, Mosley was terrible.

I suppose he has to be careful with some aspects of what he tells the press. It would hardly go down well with his employers if he came out and said the fight was a whole heap of ****** crap (even though everybody agrees with that opinion).

Bayless seems like a top guy and a good ref who holds his hands up when he's made a mistake. I wonder if Terry O'Connor would ever do the same? :yep

With all due respect the poor sod was probably asleep like the rest of us when the knockdown came
