Not a huge GGG or Canelo fan. GGG brought his pressure and work rate, Canelo landed probably the cleaner, more noticeable punches and boxed well. GGG swept the middle rounds but Canelo arguably won the last 3. Coming forward alone does not win you a round, Canelo's defense and movement was impressive.

    6-6 I had it.
    7-5 GGG possible
    8-4 GGG possible.
Anything else I think was way off.

118-110 an absolute joke and she should be barred from judging again.

    Yeah, very possible.

I don't see these 10-2 scorecards people are talking about at all. It was a lot closer.

I will have to watch the fight again in a different setting, by myself. But I thought it could have gone either way.

Canelo boxed well, Golovkin it bit one dimensional, still with good power but wasn't able to follow up on the jab much.

GGG won in my opinion. It was competitive but clearly a victory for the champion. It was a pro Canelo audience and even they boo'd the decision. Alvarez was trying to steal rounds late in the fight by blowing his load early then hopping on his bike to evade the onslaught from Golovkin. I think Nelo won 4 rounds at most.

In my opinion if you gave Canelo more than 3-4 rounds, you have a clear agenda.

I don't think GGG was one dimensional at all. He was just walking Nelo down, cutting off the ring, head hunting. He could have gone to the body more but he had very good punch selection for the most part. The right hand, hook and jab landed well for GGG. Nelo looked more versatile but that's his style. You can't beat or compete with a fighter like Nelo being one demensional

It was competitive.....but there was a clear winner and it wasn't Nelo. He accounted well for himself, but in a losing effort. GGG controlled the fight, landed more punches, walked Nelo down and cut off the ring successfully. Ring Generalship was in favor of GGG. I thought this fight would end early, favoring Golovkin or go the distance in favor of Alvarez. I always thought it would be competitive but never thought Golovkin would win a decision....He didn't on the cards but in reality, he out boxed the guy who everybody thought was the better pugilist.

The fight was close no doubt. This is boxing though, you can't call it 10-10. The round has to go to someone even in it's closeness. GGG was more aggressive, and is the champ. I had it 9-3 but a lot of those rounds were very close

I had it 8-4..and I honestly gave two sympathy rounds to Canelo that could have been easily scored to Golovkin. Canelo really only had two very clear early rounds where Golovkin just did very little and was feeling him out. It was competitive but there was no doubt, who was piling up the points, doing the damage, and controlling.

I think he clearly won the the 3 I gave him. The close rounds and the ones he clearly won I have to GGG

What was your third 11 or 12, I don't know, I thought they were really close. It's hard to win clear rounds when you are getting out jabbed and fighting that defensively. Golovkin just put his stamp all over this fight.
