Not Euro enough I guess, but I know what he meant. But the fact that he has been in the business for more than 30 years and just forgot everyone he's seen come through the ropes is ridiculous. Larry Merchant is the man I always thought he was and Gennady Golovkin is the guy that men who think like him have always wanted.
Well if we are going off physical dimensions why can Floyd not fight at 175 or at least 160 considering he's bigger and/or longer than both Tiger and Qawi?
Because he started at Super featherweight, Lightweight, Light welterweight, Welterweight and Light middleweight. Like or hate him, he did something your hero will not do.
Who? Roberto Duran? He started off at 119lbs and won a 160lb title at 37/38 against a legitimate bad ass, not going away fighting Andre Berto. But my point still stands. And did Qawi and Marciano start off at 160?
So you're admitting ggg is not that good. Great fighters find a way to win. Golovkin is about the same size as a young James Toney.
Exactly. Bhop and Roy are natural light heavyweights. They only had to stop cutting weight to reach the limit.
Those two and Tyson are mutants. You rarely see those kinds of body types. You can't take their example and then apply it to everyone else. It just doesn't work. They are outliers, exceptions to the rule.
