i agree, he was a shell of a fighter, pac was almost fighting a statue of Oscar we saw on the 24/7, was it age? the weight? or both?

Pac gets some credit for the performance but Oscar was mince so he isnt getting too much from me, especially since he hasnt beaten JMM him yet and should give him another rematch.

The way he sat on his stool, looking really beat up for the first time in his career, reminded me of Ali sitting on his stool against Holmes. A look of defeat against a (then) superior opponent, and against time, a look of resignation. Ali was far more shot than Oscar, but it still reminded me of it.

Yeah,it was really bad to see them around him telling him he can't do it and they have to stop the fight.Haven't selt that bad for somebody since Gatti with Gomez or Tyson with McBride.

Yep, that was a humiliation alright. De La Hoya's nightmare is real.

agree. not an oscar-fan at all. but I during that 7th round I truely felt for him. I got the same feeling like when I see or hear about animals being tortured or so. and I don't mean that in a funny or disrespectful way.

I'd have been more sorry for Oscar if I hadn't been so elated for Manny. Plus that $30 million he picked up for last nights "effort" ought to cushion his ego plenty.

I think Golden Boys are feeling much worse today than Millie. You guys see her face after the seventh? Expressionless. Cotto's kids and wife were bawling where that succubus was planning her next trip to the French Riviera. Pretty damned disturbing.

I was happy to see Oscar like that. Oscar got sent out of the biz the same way he did JCC. It is only fitting. Karma is a *****.

I don't feel sorry for him, but for his own dignity and the fighter he once was, I would've preferred the corner to stop it during the round so he could end the fight on his feet rather than on his stool.

He had no heart ... he wanted the fight stopped by the ref when he didnt throw a single punch for the last 45 seconds of the 6th.

Its always sad to see a fighter show his age. Why can't they all be like Hopkins?

In all honesty, it was probably his weight more than his age last night.
