It wasn't a robbery like Marquez vs. Pacquiao III, but I believe Trout beat Alvarez.

I had trout 4/1 up after 5 rounds Alvarez won round 6 and then evened things up with the knockdown in the 7th. From there on i thought it was a pretty even, trout didn't fold but he was getting hit more than in the early rounds. Alvarez was clearly the more aggressive and because his punches were landing unlike earlier when he was just eating jabs that is why i think the judges went with him.

I thought the win for Alvarez was fair enough as did trout but some of the official scores were way off,the south African in particular.Alvarez by 2 rounds for me .

No way Trout won. Absolutely no way.

Powderpuff puncher who even when he did land didn't trouble Canelo at all.

    Had Canelo up by 3.

I thought it was close but gave it to Alvarez, he landed the hurtful shots, and looked in complete control really. Trout danced around and landed some good combinations but very little he did bothered Alvarez and he missed an awful lot. I wouldn't have been disgusted if they scored it to trout but for me Alvarez won it. I tend to lean towards the cleaner harder shots and the guy that takes the fight to his opponent. In a closish round in terms of punches landed the guy coming forward forcing the action will get the round over the guy hoping to stay out of the way and nick the round throwing counters. I'm happy to score a round even if neither deserves it though. Some of judges scoring was laughable but I think the decision was right.

    4th, 6th, 7th, 12th

Probably get shot for saying the 7th, especially after the KD, but after the KD, Trout clearly came back to win the round. IMO.

Then it would have been a 10-9 round to Alvarez.

Canelo didnt do enough to win the round after the KD and Trout clearly won the round.

    9-9. :deal

Its how I score. "Cue the IDKSAB comments...."

Even if you scored it a 10-9, Trout still wins the fight on my card by a point.

Trouts workrate was higher but when all punches miss or just tap the other fighter and then that fighter lands two hurtfull eye catching punches in return ill always give that round to the latter. Its a fight. Your meant to hurt your opponent. Canelo won by four for me. His defence should be shown to young kids on how to slip , block and roll!! It was awsome.

You see its subjective and individual and thats why most people have a different opinion about fights.

This is boxing, for me you are meant to outbox your opponent. Outboxing them also consumes hurting your opponent, it takes into account the whole picture and not just one individual thing.

Trout was outboxing Alvarez, he might not have the power to hurt him like Alvarez has got, he might not even have the accuracy, but he was throwing and was busy, he dictated the fight, and in those close rounds, thats what I look for.

I thought Trout handled the knockdown very well and was fairly effective in the round following it but still got to go 10/8 Alvarez. It was a close round apart from the knockdown but I always try score it one way or the other rather than give it even. Would have given it Alvarez 10/9 but only just without the knockdown so 10/8 with it. I think the fact he was far more aggressive won Alvarez the fight in the end as you are right in saying the rounds a lot of the time were very close. Depends which judges you get I suppose.

Trout was missing a huge amount and when he did land made very little impact. When Alvarez landed he really landed. Trout did well, but he lost on quality versus quantity.

    I don't make up the rules:D
If you want to make it an even round just don't expect it to be taken seriously ;)

12 rounds of fighting and Trout was unable to trouble Alvarez once. Tells you all you need to know.
