It would be out of character for Pac to fight Floyd

Pac was scheduled to fight Morales in a rematch. However, Morales lost a lopsided decision to Raheem. Instead of fighting Raheem, he had Morales go back down to 130 lbs. Anway, I have never said that Floyd has fought great black fighters. In fact, I specifically said that you could make an argument that he has avoided black fighters as of lately. However, the criticism of Pac is that not only has he avoided great black fighters, but that he's avoided black fighters period. Again, I don't think this is a valid criticism. However, the the fact of the matter is that he hasn't fought a black fighter since 2001, which was a draw to Sanchez. He's only had a handful of chances to fight black fighters since then, but he has opted to go in a different direction every time.

Mayweather gets blasted on this forum every day for being a cherry picker. Then one someone post some type of criticism on Pacman. Its somehow spinned toward Mayweather being a cherry picker again. What does Mayweather's resume have to do with Pacman's resume in this instance.

Your not defending Pacman well if you have to resort to talking about Mayweather being a cherry picker. All that shows is the double standards that are heavy on this board. If only one person is allowed to be called out on issues then that just shows how biased a board is.

Not that I care who Pacman chooses to fight as long as his fights are entertaining. He can fight the same person every fight as long as they produce epic entertaining fights It don't mean anything to me. But lets stop with the double standards. If Mayweather is going to be held by a certain standard by people on this board then all fighters should be held by that standard or just admit that Mayweather is held to a higher standard because he is more talented and flat out better then these fighters. As least that would show consistency.

But these are guys that could have potentially given Floyd problems because of their height and reach...

And Mayweather likely isn't knockin any of them out because he isn't a hitter, and it's a different kinda fight than he's used to...

He'll more than likely be forced to be the aggressor in each of these fights...

That's a serious test of skill, not against guys who will run into the jab all night...

And I'm not disagreeing about Pac, but it's a bull**** double standard that people are holding against him when the same thing could be said about Mayweather...

And for real, when I said Funeka would give Mayweather problems, I meant it...

He would land a hell of a lot more than Marquez and Hatton that's for damn sure.....and even Oscar....actually without a doubt more than Oscar...

Had he fought Raheem instead of Morales he would get criticized for not avenging the Morales loss and its not like he fought Erik at 135,he kept fighting at 130 and when he moved up Raheem wasnt relevant anymore.

And for real Pac had about as much business fightin Raheem as Mayweather fightin Vernon Forrest...

At least be truthful about both fighters...

Because listen, I may sound like a hater, but I'm not a hater...I just know that Mayweather ain't no Sugar Ray Robinson...and honestly, I don't think he's no Pernell Whitaker either...

But don't think I rate Pac in that category either...Talks about Pac being the greatest fighter ever are ****in ridiculous...

The difference is that fighters you named were never in a postion to fight Floyd. The only exception is Witter and Harris. And Harris was put in a postion to fight Floyd and got knocked out. Guzman and Raheem both beat guys that Pac was supposed to fight next and still got passed over. Campbell had 3 belts and was passed over for a paper champ.

Morales had just come off a lopsided loss at 135 lbs and he made him squeez back down to 130 lbs to fight him anyway. No one would've cricised him for fighting Raheem instead of a Morales who was past it, probably drained at 130 lbs, and who had just gotten his ass kicked.

That's total bull****. A lot of people would have criticized him like they do now and would say how he ducked the rematch blah blah, and that Morales only looked bad because of Raheem's style and he would have beaten Pac again. :nut How naive.

Raheem was a much more viable fight for Pac than Forrest ever was for Mayweather. Regardless, I don't blame Pac for not taking the fight.
