It would be unfairly disgraceful to give anymore than 45% of the purse to Pac.

I agree with all your points except the last one. You can't compare floyd vs ssm with pac vs clottey. One is a genuine superfight the other is a massive name against someone realitivly unknown to the genral public

50000 is the third highest in the US, i believe. i think pac already did more than that in the philippines.

The excuse is going to be that Mosley/Mayweather is a bigger fight than Pacquiao/Clottey, obviously. Of course it's going to bring in more viewers, since the outcome isn't already decided before the fighters even get in the ring. Put Mayweather in with a guy at Clottey's level, and he'd most likely sell far fewer tickets and PPVs.

Pretty much everybody that paid for the Pac/Clottey fight was paying to see Pacquiao. A fair amount of people who would have purchased it probably didn't since the opponent sucked.

Mayweather/Clottey or something similar would have drawn much, much smaller numbers. Mayweather hasn't got the bandwagon Pacquiao's got. it just APPEARS that he does, since his butt boys are so extraordinarily vocal.

You essentially summed up practically any post this guy makes regarding Pac and Floyd. He'll take liberties to **** on Pac any chance he gets and then massage Floyd's balls(hence him affectionately refering to him as 'Money' while using every played out negative Pac reference in the book)

Seems to be his sole purpose with these posts: to stir **** up as Floyd's greatest cheerleader

If floyd beats Mosley and pacquiao is not willing to test for drugs or take 45% i will bet Mayweather will one up him again just for the hell of it. Yall say who will floyd fight?? Name one person that will upstage any Pacquiao next fight?? Mayweather will go and fight him and that guy in my opinion is Paul Williams. He will even fight Martinez and Berto just to out do Pacquiao until he quits running and fight him.

honestly u cant really use the numbers against clottey in comparison to mayweather-mosley..

however...u can use the numbers with mosley in comparison with the numbers pac had against miguel cotto...if mayweather mosley does a great amount more than that than manny can kiss his 50/50 good bye

"When I was in Arum's office he talked about different splits," recalled Shaw, who said at that time the numbers he was told differed from the ones he had agreed to. "I started to yell, I said, 'It's gotta be 50-50.' He

said, "All right, all right. Why are you yelling? I'm just the messenger. Come back, we'll do the deal." I walked downstairs here at the Beverly Hills Hotel, I said, 'We have a deal?' He looked at me and said, '55-45.' I said, 'No, 50-50. He said, 'There's no deal.' "
Arum confirmed that Wright-Mayweather is dead as of now.

I can almost guarantee you that whatever happens in these two upcoming fights isn't going to affect the split between the two fighters because they already agreed to the split. And neither party is going to move off this, so get over it. Floyd could loose his fight and if he and Manny fight the purse splits going to remain the same, because if it's not Floyd won't agree to fight Manny and there's no fight. If Floyd wants more than they already agreed to Manny's simply going to say screw you and again, no fight. There's rumors that Floyd's financial situation is somewhat iffy, but to the best of my knowledge Manny's a millionaire many time over. So a fight between them would be more about securring a legacy than about $$.

Mayweather deserves more based on past PPV sales.

I could give two shits though. Someone losing out on 5% of eight-figures deserves no sympathy.

Why not split it at 40% each and the winner of the fight gets an additional 20%. Why not reward someone for actually winning the fight?
