Surprises:

- they got Buffer! :shock: That dude must go through ten passports a year. edit: No, it wasn't Buffer...someone else with a deep resonant voice, using his trademarked catchphrase "Let's get ready to rumble!"... Michael could sue!

- the reception for Lora was quite positive, with scattered applause. Italian crowds are respectful, not like some countries where they automatically boo the foreigner. They just want to appreciate talent & effort.

- Lora was almost KTFO at the end of the 1st! Had he been caught and hurt with that series of looping shots at any other time in the round, he wouldn't have been saved by the bell and had that minute rest to regroup.

- both were stunned many times, landing flush hurtful power shots back and forth once they got warmed up and felt each other out.

 

I think the big superman right hand that Felix landed in the closing seconds of the 3rd was the beginning of the end. I don't think Ballisai ever fully recovered from that. Sitting on his stool he still looked a little dazed. He fought back fiercely and even landed some good shots to start the fourth, but every time Lora wound up and chucked a right hand at him he broke into that trot. He did NOT want to take another of those.

Ironically, while he was actively scouting that right hand and trying to steer clear of it, a picture-perfect left hook wound up doing him in.

Knockout of the year candidate. Awesome punch.

Agreement that it would be a big step up Seeing many Lora fights (Not much of Ballisai though except a knockout and a fight against an always losing journeyman,, where he wasnt particularly impressive)

 

Felix Lora > his .500 winning record.

lora just gets a little careless with he lets his hands go. he gets his feet all tangled up. plus he is a hooker. just a couple of fixes and he would be a good fighter

 

His toughness alone has carried him far. :good

Some top rated guys haven't been able to get rid of him, even with his leaky defenses. He's also produced a few shocks with his underrated power, like yesterday's.
