People seem to actually be falling for the whole "last boxing match" nonsense. It will be his last boxing match until his next one. It's just another way to fleece the public. He may be out for a short while longer after the so-called last match, but he'll be back to fleece the public again who seem happy to watch the "warrior", "cult hero", and convicted woman beater.

I'm not as sold on itauma as most on here.
Sure he looks to be a great prospect and has looked very impressive so far.

However, this is heavyweight boxing and we've not seen how he's going to cope when he's against someone tough and durable.

I don't even find him that likeable as a person

I was certain that big David Price was gonna rule the heavyweight division for years and we saw how that ended up.

No offence, Punchdrunk1, you probably do know your stuff, but this post would suggest otherwise!

You were sold on David Price, despite how obvious it was that he was nowhere near "the next big thing", and you are not sold on Itauma, who is clearly going to be just that.

I agree with you about his personality. I don't really like him at all, and he has a tendency to say "like" in every sentence.

I am the same as punchdrunk1. Not entirely sold yet. It's the other heavyweights that have spared him and have seen how good he is that makes me think he could be legit. I still want to see him get a few more solid wins under the lights before I am entirely convinced.
