Franklin will give him some rounds but little else, to be fair its the rounds he needs more than anything else so its a good fights at this stage. If Itauma blasts through him in a couple of rounds then that will be a big statement.
Wouldn't surprise me if the ref gets a brown envelope to stop it first chance he gets so they can spin the "done it quicker than AJ koogz!" angle
Nothing’s guaranteed, especially with heavyweights, one punch and it can be curtains. But in the current climate, he’s about as close to a cert as you can be without having that true acid test first. Personality-wise, it doesn’t really matter. Look at David Beckham. Maybe Moses just needs to slide into Sydney Sweeney’s DMs on IG – he’d be an overnight sensation then.
He has, but is it different times now? Joshua had that sky sports exposure, the olympics and all the press that goes with it, you couldnt help but see him even if you weren’t into boxing! At the minute the only way your seeing boxing, and therefore its stars, is if you go looking for it Like I say just a feeling and I hope he does go on to big things
https://boxrec.com/en/event/936142 As cards go. I am massively behind this. Some brilliant domestic fights, a few cross roads fights as well. A lot of time for this
Can get in the queue. As already said, this is an excellent card. Not sure why they keep going to a 24k arena in Manchester though. Surely Wembley Arena would be better?
Mix of things, innit. Think there’s a degree of ‘willy waving’ (not Hutchinson) and making sure your biggest stars are seen to be headlining the biggest arenas - even if half of it is curtained off and loads of freebies are given out. And boxing tends to be arranged at fairly short notice in comparison to the gigs and other sports events that use arenas, so I imagine the promoters get a hefty discount to use your Coops and O2s on nights that they otherwise would have been empty. Plus the arenas know boxing will pull in more booze sales than your typical concert, or Disney on Ice or whatever.
Undercard’s primarily based in and around Manchester, and Warren’s likely looking to move some of the undercard fan base over to Moses. London’s a long way for Hutchinson’s fans to travel unless they’re making a weekend of it. I also think Warren got burned on Wardley v Joey12, London’s a hard sell at the best of times unless you’re from there. I mean, Kevin Mitchell packed out both the O2 and Upton Park, but that was a different era and he was very much a local draw, plus Hearn’s got the young guns from the area who shift tickets. And say what you want about Sweeney – she’s got the best PR team in the world. I mean, she’s milking those numbers better than this weekend’s Nepo grudge match.
One thing I hadn't realized is the age of Moses recent opponents.. I knew Wach was a pensioner at 45 (and by got he looked it), didn't realise McKean was 35 or Balogun 42.. Whyte was 37 so Franklin is a good bit younger than most of his recent opponents. He's only fought once this year though, still I'm hoping he can give Moses a bit of something to look at rather than having nothing coming back and having the fight all his own way.
