Who takes it? Povektin 2015-16, pre-ban, vs Moses Itauma who looked spectacular so far but yet to get tested.
I’d have to go with Povetkin at this point as Itauma is still unproven at that level, and it would be unfair to pick against Povetkin who proved himself at the top level.
Povetkin is one of the most accomplished fighters never to hold a real belt, the division was controlled by the two Klitschko's, not a lot of fighters would have a chance to earn a belt with those two there. I haven't seen Itauma in deeper waters yet so it's difficult to judge.
Itauma hasn't even taken a punch in the pro ranks. Imagine the first punch being taken is one of Povetkin's best shots?
Povetkin never tested positive for steroids. He had a tiny trace of a non-steroid substance that had recently been banned, according to VADA, but I think the dodgy American organization was just trying to get Wilder out of his mandatory and smear Povetkin.
