    Yes, this is true. After he got iced by Jalolov, he came into the rematch at the Olympics with so much confidence that you would have thought he had won their first fight. I think Torrez can still improve, although it won't be easy. At the very least, he has the heart of a tiger.

    I can’t remember but was it Torrez or Sanchez that Itauma’s people turned that a IBF eliminator fight against not that long ago?

    I think you may be right. It was Sanchez that they turned down. I don’t why I keep mixing up the two names with each other? After all it’s not as if they look alike. :facepalm:

    Itauma looks far quicker than Sanchez, hits harder and is a southpaw. Torrez would get torn to shreds in the first round

    Torrez has ALWAYS looked terrible. That's why I call him Lunging Richard. If Guido had any punching power, he would have beaten him and ended the charade.

    The same thing would have happened to Itouma. They avoided Sanchez for a reason.

    I can't see Itauma leaning into a shot like that tbh, that and he's so bloody quick on his feet.

    He got hit flush multiple times by Franklin, and even from guys prior who he knocked out. Makes me wonder why his team has not put him against power punchers. Hergovic will be the hardest puncher he will have faced, and even though Hergovic is not really considered a devastating puncher, we will see how Itouma reacts. I have a feeling this is why his team purposely turned down the Sanchez elliminator, they didn't want that question to be answered so soon.

    Fair. I figured it was because Franklin offered a durability test having gone the distance against Whyte and AJ. Hrgovic is a reasonable step up from there, so I wouldn't hold turning down a bout against Sanchez against him as he clearly wants to improve the quality of his opponent.

    Time will tell though.
