Itauma will always struggle

We'll see how he bounces back. If he hasn't suffered physically or mentally than he can come back and demolish a lot of TOP heavyweights because he has looked SOLID... beating guys very quickly that tool other top heavyweights much much longer to do the same.


He beat Dillian in one round, no one else is doing that realistically. He beat Franklin quickly and also STOPPED him.... AJ and Whyte who are known power punchers couldn't achieve that in 12 rounds.


And now look what he did to Hrgovic.... he dominated him.


So if Moses comes back the same or better he will do a lot of damage to all the TOP heavies. Filip said he was the BEST he shared a ring with, and other boxers/trainers agree... he was amazing.

 

Itauma's one saving grace is the HW division is almost all a decade+ older than him. Things are really set up for anyone at Itauma's age and level to succeed for a very long time. If he doesn't get thrown to the wolves right away.

If Itauma stays at the world level at some point it will be just him Dubois, Jared Anderson, Huni and Torrez farming the previous generation and prospects with no world experience. In 5 years all the other big names will be between 36 and 45 years old. Things are really set up for those 5 guys to stay in the top 10 for a decade or more.

 

I don't get the hype surrounding him. He hasn't beaten anyone. No more title shots until he can get past some contenders, but HW division is looking pretty bleak right now. Ruiz is supposed to be coming back, that would be a good test for him.
