I’ll wait to see if Itauma has a chin before I start spruiking him against the likes of Joe Parker. Parker is a serious fighter. Whyte is a washed up gatekeeper. Massive difference.
Itauma just beat a bloke who went life and death with Ebeneezer lol. Ebeneezer the same guy who Frazier Clarke detonated in a round
Or Itauma rocks Parker, get overly aggressively and walks onto a vicious Parker counter and does the stanky leg and flops over like that bloated whale Bakole. Who ironically and idiotically was fighting out of a quasi southpaw stance. This content is protected You know.. because we don't really know just how good or bad Moses' chin is.
Although he sort of shits on his own resume saying it.. I agree with Fury, boxing is a young mans game.. only one of the oldies I wouldn't make him favourite against is Usyk.. Moses would beat Fury, AJ, Wilder
With Parker sick in that fight Joyce still took 11 rnds to send him down. But that was indeed Parker's low point From which he has risen ever since
Parker was sick and it still took over 200 power shots landing over 11 rounds. And Joyce isn't exactly a light handed heavyweight. In my mind when they said "obliterate" they implied a speedy destruction, it a sustained break down like the Joyce fight. But that is my own read on what they meant. The closest I can think off is the Whyte left hook that sent a concussed Parker down. But I think that punch would have KO'd nearly anyone else.
I don't see how anyone can say with utter confidence that Moses would beat any legitimate world level guy. Why? Because he has fought nothing but no-hopers so far. The guys he's getting in with literally will hardly throw a punch at him. They show up as jobbers to get a paycheck and they roll over immediately. Take Whyte on Saturday. Dude is clearly shot, but he didn't even actually try whatsoever. Didn't make a serious attempt to back Moses up. Didn't move around and try to stretch the round out and avoid a firefight. Didn't attempt to clinch or fire back when on the ropes. Just stood there, took his beating, and fell over. Moses does look fast. He doesn't look preternaturally fast, though. Just fast compared to the slugs he's been matched with. Moses looks strong. He doesn't look freakishly strong, though. Just strong compared to the slugs he's been matched with. And anyone and everyone will look good when their opponents back to the ropes, cringe away, shell up, and refuse to throw back. Which is actually a problem for Moses, because if he gets used to that kind of ridiculously pitiful performance out of his opponents he might be inclined to try the same thing down the line versus someone legit. That's an easy way to get baited into a trap, get caught, and eat a big one you don't see coming. Just like how thinking an actual Top 10 guy will bite on repeated blatantly obvious feints to the body so you can land an overhand from Timbuktu like you did against McKean will get you in big trouble. A legit guy will punish you for moves like that. Kid's chin, stamina, ring IQ, toughness, and heart have not been tested one iota so far in his career. It's just been him shooting fish in a barrel over and over. For comparison, I'd like to bring up Jared Anderson. Highly touted American HW prospect. Kid looked the part. Big, strong, fairly fast, and full of confidence. Now, you can argue Moses is better than him if you'd like, but I think they're guys who are similar in their career aspirations, experience, and trajectories. Anderson's resume is a bit better than Moses' resume I think. Anderson was facing somewhat better opposition early in his career and his fights were never going to points like a couple of Moses' fights did. Big Baby was knocking EVERYBODY out. In Jared's 13th fight he went up against the ultra-durable Jerry Forrest, not a disinterested shot to pieces Whyte looking for a last payday. This is a guy who drew with Michael Hunter. He drew with Zhang. Lost a close split decision to Franklin. He's a legit journeyman that gives all sorts of people problems. And you can't get rid of him he's so tough. What does Anderson do? Knocks him out in 2 rounds. And Forrest wasn't old or shot to pieces, either. He was 34 at the time coming off fights with Zhang, Hunter, and Pulev. This guy is much better than ancient and fat Wach or a non-entity like McKean whose only claim to fame is it taking lazy, pillow-fisted Hrgovic 12 rounds to stop him. Anderson then goes on to beat Charles Martin (he did look shaky in that fight to be fair) and Rudenko. Sky looks like it's the limit for this kid. Then what happens? Turki gets a hard-on for this kid. Turki sees a new toy that he can play with. So Turki offers him a big ol' bag of money and against Bob Arum's wishes, Jared takes a fight against Bakole. A big step up in competition. And we all know what happened there. So how is Moses THAT different from Anderson? You can say he's more talented maybe, sure. You can say he's more dedicated to the sport, sure. Still, he and Anderson are of a similar type. They both had about the same amount of amateur experience. Both big, strong, fast dudes (though Moses is definitely faster). Hell, they're almost identical in size. And Anderson was MORE PROVEN than Moses. He actually had to dog some of these wins out. Show that he could go the distance, handle adversity, etc. No one had Anderson ranked #1 with one of the sanctioning bodies. No one was calling for Anderson to get a crack at Oleksandr Motherlovin' Usyk. I actually like this kid Moses. Seems like a decent guy and he's got everything he needs to succeed and be a force in the HW division for a long time. But pump the friggin' breaks already. If he wasn't a British fighter attached to Frank Warren I guarantee you no one would be hyping this kid up to the level they have so far. He absolutely would not be ranked #1 with the WBO. This is Frank's propaganda machine in full flow trying to make the next big British HW star. Just like they tried to do it with Dubois, heaven help him. Odds are good Moses gets there eventually, but people talking like he'd blast Parker, Kabayel, and Usyk out of there tomorrow are off their nut. And when Boxercise Ben and Moses' team talk about how they want to "get him rounds" they're lying to you. They know full well guys like Wach and Whyte aren't going to give Moses rounds. They want highlight KOs early to continue to build the hype train. If they really wanted to get this kid rounds they'd have already found a durable journeyman or three to put him in with. Like a Jerry Forrest or a Rudenko. But they don't want that. Because if Moses can't stop those guys or it takes him 8+ rounds then it kills this ridiculous "he's the new Mike Tyson!" narrative.
