    seriously bad idea

You rarely hear Usyk talk about how he has never lost the way Fury often talks about having never lost.

This is such a dreadful idea.

You can't build your whole identity as a boxer on being undefeated. You are putting yourself under so much pressure in tough situations. You will avoid some match ups due to it.

Fury could have fought a guy like Joe Joyce prior to Joyce being stopped by Zhang. Or he could have fought Zhang. But he built his identity on being undefeated which made him reluctant to take chances.

Anyone can be beaten in boxing

It's just a fact of life.

If you retire undefeated then it just brings a question mark and more scrutiny. Who didn't you fight? Did you have every A-side advantage? Was your name Floyd Mayweather?

Usyk should he remain undefeated will be one of the few undefeated who it's very hard to scrutinize why he hasn't been defeated...because he fought them all. On all soils. No advantages. & he fights a purists wet dream. The guy never fouls. Rumour has it the gap in his teeth is to aid breathing.

When all is said and done nobody cares about your record. How many belts you had. How much money you made. They care about GOOD ASS FIGHTS. Fury has cemented himself because he had good ass fights and saved HW boxing from Wlad.

Yes, the floyd blueprint leads to ducking and cowardly behavior.

it's one of the most irritating things about boxing. imagine a tennis player who loses his first couple of grand slam finals being considered a wash as a result.
