It's a little surprising how much hate Andre Ward gets here.

That is kinda true. . . Although I'm not sure if Showtime was more responsible for that, as I think they wanted to just have the winner fight Bute, because Bute signed a 3 fight deal with them. . .


I just don't think Ward should have said "oh, well let Bute first prove himself. . " We know Ward is the best SMW in the world right now, and Bute is the only threat left for him. . . The fight was already built up, and is pretty much as big as it's gonna be. . . I honestly think Ward is a little worried about Bute's speed, and power, and wants to have the chance at another payday before having to face him. . . Although I think Ward has the slight drop on Bute . . . 60/40 fight for Ward IMO.

Dirrell just doesn't bring enough to the table to make up for the "risk" he poses. . . It's the ole formula I swear boxers have created to determine the "risk/reward" ratio. .

It's nothing that different htan a lot of other top boxers are doing, though. . Froch is about the only guy you can say ALWAYS fought the best.

 

Huge Ward fan. One of my favorites in the game today. One of the few that posses the skill and confident to in-fight which is practically a dying breed nowadays.

 

Does that mean his white dad is black for having a black wife and kids?

 

Andre Wards not only a special fighter he's a damn nice guy and probably the best role model in boxing today :happy
