Mayweather love him or hate him is such a great talent that boxing needs right now as he is still in the prime of his life and could generate many more big ppv megafights that would help the sport. I don't see anyone on the horizon who would have a chance at beating him except for Sugar shane. I also don't see anyone who could fill his shoes as the next dominant unbeatable force in boxing.

I hear you man. Where would the sport be without great matchups like Floyd-Baldomir, or Floyd-Oscar...

Baldomir- he beat flawlessly. A perfect performance, it was so perfect that it made you complain.

De La Hoya- well obviously he was good enough to get a shot at Pacquaio, Mayweather beat oscar pretty easily also

I for one don't know how my life will go on if a boxer who had bland fights decided to retire from a sport full of bland fights.

I think I may have to give up on this sport for good.

Floyd is one of the greatest fighters of our era, if not the most entertaining. If you appreciate boxing you must appreciate Mayweather's undoubted skills, i for one would be sad to see him retire for good. For those who hate him, surely you want to see him stick around so that someone can try to beat him!

youve been around here long enough to know better. baldomir had fans leaving the arena mid fight, so how does that help the sport of boxing? and yes, oscar fought floyd to prove he was good enough to earn a fight against pac. come on really, is this all youve learned in the time youve spent on this board?
