He gave Manny one of his hardest fights badly damaging his ribs PLUS Cotto NEVER beat him. A one eyed Margarito was setting to repeat as Cotto slumped back to his corner as Tony beat his chest at him . That crooked doc saved cowardly Cotto from quitting AGAIN Show me your proof Tony ever cheated?? You cannot there isnt any & the CSAC know it
I question the intelligence of anybody who thinks Marg could have snuck Plaster of Paris past multiple commissions over the span of years.
Margarito detonated 2 fight-ending body shots on Pac in the 6th. In fact, he broke Pac's rib. First time I've ever seen Pac "run" from a guy in the ring.
Tony was too big too strong & Floyd knew it. No way in the world was cowardly Floyd getting in ring with Tony. If he did he knew The gravy train was derailed
Do you guys still remember once Margarito was cited by boxing medias "The Most Feared Man in Boxing"? This was so exaggeration IMO.
Ask the Mexican boxing fans who they respect more as a fighter Margarito or Canelo ?? I'd bet more say Margarito, he fights like Mexican fighter do. Canelo talks like a Mexican fighter but doesnt fight like one. He lost their respect when he chickened out & handed the WBC title back like a real coward
I started appreciating Tony more after the second Cotto fight Styles makes fights it’s a reason Floyd had trouble with Maidana but not Canelo or the version of Pac he fought.. Guys that doesn’t show respect for his skill level and have a great awkward work rate with size advantage would always give Floyd problems.. Not saying Tony would have won but in the same fashion as PAC it would have been Floyd’s most physically taxing victory. Guys these days like to claim no one wants to fight them but only fight safe fights in hopes of getting their names called. That wasn’t the case 10-15 years ago.. Example guys like Tony, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez, Kermit Cintron all chose to fight each other instead of waiting around for the cash cows to give them a chance.. Tony forced Bob’s hand into giving him Cotto by demolishing Cintron. Paul Williams moved up and was scheduled to Pavlik before agreeing to face the awkward and unknown Sergio Martinez. We need more of them and less of Spence, Crawford, Thurman, Andrade, Mall Charlo, GGG, etc..
