    And people avoid Kell.

Bundu, Khan, Bradley, Porter, Alexander, Ali all offered final eliminators all turned down. Many others avoided voluntary's. He also beat a guy you saod would beat him in Gavin. :hi:

Kell Brook doesnt get the attention he deserves, and in that manner, you are correct.

But he's in a similar albeit less dramatic situation as Golovkin.

    He is indeed avoided.

Not many expected him to be able to fight with such great poise against Porter, but he did. And he earned a clear and concise win.

The $$$ he brings to the table, particularly vs Khan, would be far more than GGG could offer an opponent.

However, very similarly to the avoidance by other titlists, Brook has the opportunity to move N for a better legacy.

    One glaring exception.

GGGs BIGGEST legacy fights are Ward, Mayweather, Cotto, and Canelo, while he STILL has Martirosyan, Lara, and the Charlos coming up soon enough.
Add to the fact that Murata and Kyrtov are BOTH gonna be world class operators.
And Lee, Saunders, Eubank Jr are ALL big money fights should they continue winning.

The MW division has been a very good division all along, even when Sturm was holding the WBA hostage, and the WBC was propping up solid, but drained Chavez Jr as the MAN to take over the division and even went as far as elevating Chavez Jr over Martinez.

Now, with Martinez losing to Murray and Cotto in back to back fights, getting injured late vs Murray and never recovering prior to his cashout vs Cotto, it looks like a weak division b/c of absence of a DOMINANT WBC champ......lineal, that is.

But GGG knocked the F out the guy who took Sturms title, ktfo the man to beat Martinez, and is poised to KTFO the guy that took lineal title in what became a NON TITLE fight.:patsch

Brook lost out on payday vs Khan, but it'll be there when Khan rebounds vs someone like Muller, Horn, or Skeete(yes, the IBF WW rankings are weak as well).

Brook should get MORE active and quick. Quit wasting his time waiting on Khan and try his damnedest to lure a top American WW into the UK for a megafight. Fill a stadium and get a payday.

GGG is likely gonna fight in Comboys stadium late summer, hopefully vs Canelo in what will be the SuperBowl of MW boxing.

I can't see less than 50K filling it, and it doing less than 800K PPV buys.

GGG will have to concede to 30% and a 157/158 CW most likely, but he'll get his $8 million+++++ payday, and then be able to make his mandatories on HBO and PPV when they they're big enough names. :thumbsup

Come on and stop with the foolish nonsense!

The MW division is the weakest that I have personally experience it being in my lifetime.

    1. Golovkin -
Amateur background: 353 fights before turning Pro.

A little minnow feeding pink coral crab that refuses competitive matches anywhere outside his comfortable coral reef home. The little crab knows that all it has to do is wait and all the titles will fall into it's lap without his taking even an ounce of risk.

    2. Jacobs -
    Amateur record: 144 fights

A weak small MW who has undergone a MAJOR bone cancer operation in 2011 that is a miracle that he survived, never mind continuing competing at a high level in the brutal sport of boxing.
Hopefully, Jacobs has since his return earned enough purses to pay down what must be an enormous cache of medical bills.

Jacobs reminds me of Allan Green who in 2007 underwent a MAJOR operation where they removed over 70% of his colon.
After recovering from this and to my amazement, coming back to boxing he competed at the same level but obviously was not the same fighter.

    Quillin -
Amateur background: 15 fights before turning Pro.

A super timid MW who has the body of a boxer but the mentality of an insurance salesman. Peter seems to have no real ambitions as a fighter which fell into his lap as an escape from being broke and homeless.
Physically, he is much stronger than Jacobs, but mentally he is a dwarf, boxing wise.

Did you see the abuse Lara took from a very slow 154 lb Angulo? What do you think a world class power boxer/puncher like GGG would do?

Every fight is different, and styles do make fights! But with that said i would think Lara would pose a better challenge than Dominic Wade!:deal

so you're saying that when Kovalev was only a beltholder who hadn't been 12 rounds before he took on Hopkins that he was a cherrypick for Hopkins? can you have it both ways? :think
