It’s just culture. That’s why you have Kenyan runners, Jamaican sprinters. You get pockets everywhere because you get a culture of some success, everyone wants to have that same success. You have greater talent pools to draw from, you don’t have top athletes lost to other sports. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Philippines become a boxing powerhouse in years to come, we’re already seeing that play out to an extent. Japan with Inoue, Ukraine with Usyk and Loma.
