    Its about negating the other mans strengths, taking them out of the equation, so they dont become a factor in the fight, which gives them a better shot at winning.

    At the top level you cant pick and choose when your going to entertaining, its as needs must situation, as you have to implement your game plan on the other guy, get him doing what you want him to do, not the other way around.

    In terms of this thread though, Booth employed the perfect gameplan and Groves executed it to perfection and at the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

    The guy knows **** all about football and even less about boxing. What he's basically saying is that intelligence shouldn't be scored in boxing and DeGale won the fight by simply walking forward, ignoring the fact that he didn't cut the ring off once and was outthrown and outlanded. Going by his logic, Nicolino Locche shouldn't have a W on his record.

    Are u butt sore because Groves won....bet u put money on Degale...Groves deserved the win and the gameplan was excellent....Degale was expecting Groves to come out swinging....he didnt adapt to well to what Groves had planned! The better man won last night, simple, and im someone that thought Degale would have actually won before the fight!

    i didn't compare them, i just said thank **** adam booth wans't around to advise those fighters, in any case the most laughable comparison inthis thread has to be George Grove swith Sweet Pea :lol:

    last time i checked, Whittaker was a counter puncher who actually punished fighters for stalking him. As opposed to constantly retreating, and making sure they landed one extra jab than their opponent like Booth the Bore

    yeah too bad the black eyes werent really caused by punchs. No in boxing EFFECTIVE punching is considered swinging and missing is not effective
