It's Absolutely INSANE That Old and Tiny 5' 4" Pacquiao is the Man at Welterweight...

Pac is the man over at Top Rank and that is all.

Yet with wins over Bradley and Vargas, he's had the best year of any welterweight while being 5' 4" and 37 years old.

For one, Pac is 5'6" not 5'4" and while I think that he is a great fighter, he made his bones in house at top rank. Bradley is good but he is an in house fighter. I think the Thurman win over Porter is a much better win because quite frankly, Porter would tear Bradley's azz up and Vargas too. Because of Pac's age, the win was significant and praise worthy. His greatness as a fighter saw him through that fight but he was by no means feeding at the top of the food chain.

He's 5' 4" but what do I know? I only saw him up close in person and all you've got is inaccurate measurements posted online.

You overrate Thurman. He was almost KO'd by a shot Collazo.

Ok, lets put this in the right

Ok, lets put things in their proper perspective. I have no choice but to put my faith in the people who measure and weigh individuals for a living. Then take and print those measurements as a statement of fact with the person's consent. To get things wrong in that context is far more unbelievable than you telling me you saw him up close. Did he let you measure him and take his weight. What makes what you say accurate and what is written not accurate. Did these people not see him up close. I think so, and more times than you and a lot closer than you. If I had to make a choice on who to believe, believe this, it wouldn't be you.

Now you stated that I overrate Thurman. My question is: compared to who or what?

He isn't the 'man' at Welterweight. He was sparked out cold against JMM and then lost a wide UD to Mayweather. He has been in nothing but handpicked in house Top Rank fights since then.

Although i would love to agree with you as Pac is in my top 5 favourites of all time and i had money on him winning that fight, its just not true. Marquez does not and will never ever hit as hard as Pac! Marquez could never administer beat downs on guys like Marg and Cotto the way Manny did, in fact I would say Marquez loses against both of them. He's smaller, slower and isn't even close in explosiveness! Marquez KD + KO of Pac was some damn good timing and accuracy, people forget how good Marquez was, he had a way better IQ then most of todays fighters and that includes Pac, that fight was not won because of power. Lets be honest both of them were/are juicing, its unlikely that there is an athlete in the top tier today that isn't on PEDS, theres just too much $$$ at stake. Also I remember reading somewhere that it was Pacs team who opted to scrap the testing? (could be wrong though)
