Thats because newbie fans are stupid. They really think that two fighter with over 50 title fights and PPV fights are scared and nervous.
Manny was smiling the whole time. He seemed happy and relaxed. I thought he would get serious when he stood in front of floyd but he didnt. Just kept smiling and seemed like he was having the time of his life. kind of wierd. of course his haters will say he looked scared.
They don't need to pretend they hate each other to hype the fight, so why do it? Although Mayweather may do a little something at the weigh-in to boost just a bit the PPV sales.
I've been rewatching their face-off. When Manny started smiling at Floyd, you could see a grin pulling out Floyd's lips for a sec. He held it back though.
Pacquiao and Marquez has always been respectfully and very careful with their words, even encouraging, towards each other. They still both brought it the last time they met on the ring.
The calm before the storm... it has to be weird. Manny being so smiley and friendly toward his opponents. He even said, "Hey Floyd, sit with me after the fight so we can share a nice conversation about our faith!" It's so friendly... and then, when Manny walks into the ring, you look across and see a demon. It's weird how someone can change a mentality like that. From nice guy who seems he wouldn't hurt a fly to a warrior who is about to bash your face in.
Sometimes they seem like friends. There was an instance where they were interviewing each other. It seems so friendly and amicable.
