damn... is he that damn confident? does he think he'll just beat hopkins all over the ring? i mean there is a pretty good chance he might win this, but there is always an upset.. dont think he should have said that..
I don't know if Hopkins said that about Tarver but he did say that about Winky and he was 100% correct. Winky is still looking for a fight.
I think Calzaghe wins, but only just. What I find a bit disconcerting about Joe C. is the fact he still thinks he's a puncher. He used to talk about his "POW-ER" in the early days, until even mediocre opposition started going the distance with him. Hopkins has faced bigger punchers and Calzaghe's power won't trouble him. In fact, if there's a recurrence of his hand problems during the fight, JC could be in a lot of trouble.
Calzaghe ALWAYS exudes ott confidence he's italian for f*cke sake he can't help himself lol ! Look at the lacy fight and he's lounging around the changing rooms yawning and **** for the cameras. Much as we may like to imagine differenelty both men will be fully prepared and fully motivated for this fight
he punches hard now landed over 1000 punches on lacy and could not stop him let alone drop him, i do remember a a push down in that fight and they called it a knockdown.joe has skills but he is know were more skilled then hopkins, faster hands he is blessed with but not more skilled and he dont hit hard either. not a one punch ko artist and hopkins want get hit that much were he would get stoped, britts are in for a very rude awakening :good
That bares no relevance to the fact that not only is Calzage far less skilled than a lot of Hopkin's past oponents, but he's also about 1/16th as powerful as just about anyone Bernard's resume.
His skill is a different type than Winky and DLH, I wouldn't say he's less skilled (well, maybe less than DLH). But he's an actual super-middle/light-heavy. It will offset the supposed difference in skill easily. Oh yes, and he is easily more powerful than anyone B-Hops has beat apart from Antwun Echols, and he's a far, far, far better fighter than Echols ever was. Quit the pathetic hate, it's embarassing.
