He beat Ruiz's record with clinches in the Calzaghe fight hardly throws any punches and then complains he didn't win. Last's nights No-Hop was just as bad except he was fighting a guy who didn't look like he wanted to fight.

In case people have no clue what's really going on, a fighter does whatever is necessary to win, period. He wasn't disqualified, therefore everything he did was completely legal. Seems like a lot of people really have no clue about the fight game. Probably never even stepped in a ring.:blood

There have been exceptions, but Hopkins rarely fights to win. He usually fights to not lose, and there is a huge difference between those philosophies.

you are right...but those fighters never become superstars,b-hop,since he thinks he is,he gets away with it,because people like you,try to defend him,i mean,a ppv fight and you see this..you know he only wants to get the w to get more fights, and continue saying he is a freak of nature because his age,if he fights like paquiao, marquez, williams, gatti, martinez cotto, tarver, even calazaghe,he would of retire when he was 35...why did he picked the rematch with jones after jones lost, because after jones performance,it was an easy fight, but fight night he realized it wasn't,so started with theatrics......by the way..a lot of us has steeped into the ring...have you?

We are not defending anything... When you Think of B-Hop dirty tactics instantly comes to mind... Its just what it is. Its not because he went out of chracter for pavlik that we were going a new B-Hop at age 45...

I will always remember the Hopkins from the late 90s. That Bhop was one the greatest middleweights ever. He had toughness, speed, power, and intelligence. His second fight with Antwun Echols is one of the funnest fights ever.

And what he has done in the past few years has not changed my opinion of him.
