Trust me, even if Cotto laid Clottey out with one punch the damage has been done. Floyd Legacy was to fight Cotto when Cotto was red hot and undefeated ( and Floyd was undisputed ) or Margo when he was supposely the most avoid fighter. Floyd can fight them now but it won't be the same. Floyd is the fighter with the best skill this decade but as far as lagacy fight, his time as past. He should have taken that Cotto or Margo fight, it would have meant alot for his legacy.

    True Words,

Floyd has always opted to fight safe opponents. In my opinion Hatton was a big risk for Pacman, dam Pacman has taken more risky fights than Floyd period. De La Hoya was a very risky fight but it was only because of the weight drained issues that people disreguard that performance but the bottom line is he still took the big risk to fight a much bigger man who is an icon in the sport. If Floyd is so great he would do great things like fighting Paul Williams at 154lbs or fighting and trying to school those bigger guys if he is so great but he would rather choose to look good in winning and make easy money so he fights smaller guys who are tailor made for him.

I know the dude is in jail but Floyd should be fighting guys like that at 154. Guys like Forrest and Mora. He should stay away from guys like Marquez and Pacquiao because all he is doing is just beating the smaller man.

With the way how Pac career has evolved, there's no doubt that if Pac was floyd he would have fought Cotto or Margo.

Doubt it, if there are bigger fights to take he would have definitely gone for them. Also you're completely ignoring the situations back then, back then Cotto wasn't even a Welterweight, he jumped there after Mayweather already beat Baldomir to fight Quintana. Even after that fight they claimed he's still a "new" Welterweight and needs some time, they barely mentioned Mayweather's name in discussions back then too, it was only when Mayweather retired that they started talking. His win over Mosley is what started the talks about possibly fighting Mayweather, before that you wouldn't hear **** from them.

Margarito's case is a laughable one and one of the weakest discussions of the decade, even the funniest looking at how it ended. Margarito's biggest win back then was Kermit Cintron and his biggest achievement was a paper WBOgus title, no one even knew who the hell that guy is nor cared.

alot of it has to do with manny moving up and making it look so easy. hatton was the best at 140 where he had never loosed and had looked great in the fight before.

Sharmba Mitchell, Chop Chop Corley, Zab Judah, Baldomir and an overrated Gatti...all worthy opponents that beat Pac's resume any day of the week.

exactly...in the ring...winner take all pac V pbf....In sports when two teams fighters players etc are equal they settle it on the field, ring, court....not in a forum...PBF will settle this by beating JMM then Pac

Whats even more shameful was the way FMJ kept bragging that he was the best fighter of all time while ducking the best fighters in his division.

hatton ODLH corrales castillo hernandez...pac has beat ONE superstar in his prime that PBF hasn't...and he is about to....let them settle it in the ring...i sense pac fans being VERY skeptical of this fight...
