Imagine mike tyson ripping uppercuts and body shots furiously during those clinches. The eliminator for this fight was HASIM RAHMAN ladies and gentleman . LOL. Shockingly weak era. The klitschkos are dominating an era where every big athlete is in the NFL. Everyone they fight is a bloated cruiser or 45 year old

to support Wlad and his cheating is one thing, but to insult a genuine great like Lennox is another.

don't ever put this piece of **** in the same sentence as Lewis ever again.

Lewis beat very good and great fighters within the rules of boxing. he showed how a great fighter goes to work. his era was a great one. Wlads isn't.

Wlad beats bums with his cheating and general boringness. he comes no where near to the class of a Lennox Lewis.

    so stop talking crap.

Been a great run for the brothers. They've beaten everyone they faced, except for Lewis, who retired after his fight with Vitali.

As an American, it makes me sad that there is so little competition coming from our shores. There was some fantasy that the heavyweight fighters were all in the NBA and NFL, but I think Seth Mitchell's flame-out against Arreola helped end that delusion.

Fighters excel where they have to and conditions are rough. For now, that seems to be Eastern Europe. At least for the larger weights. And in time, it will change back, I'm sure.

I've always been drawn to the larger fighters. Guys like Mayweather and Pacquaio fascinate me, but I feel like they are the size of some middle school students. Just not physically imposing.

The Klitschkos have been good for the sport and they have earned their dominance. Congratulations to them. Povetkin had no chance, no matter how the fight was fought.

Vitali has been good for the sport, Wlad has not. Don't pool em together, Wlad is a disgrace

Can't agree. When the brothers were younger, Wlad was considered the better prospect.

Vitali is unbelievably dominating. Wlad less so, but he's still a great fighter. For someone of his size to have his skill level, fitness, and athletic ability is incredible. He has chin issues, but so did people like Lewis. Some fighters take shots better than others. But that doesn't mean he can't fight or hasn't dominated. He turned the feared Haye into a joke. That isn't easy to do, as fighters like Chisora could tell us.

My only gripe is the large gaping holes in their resume(s) are primarily due to their own inadequacies. They just couldn't dominate when it actually mattered... when they were competing in a much deeper & tougher era. I would have liked to see them fact Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis etc back in the late 90's.

Klitschkos keep on beating the biased hater's heroes! They are now claiming that Wilder has fought better opponents, although he has never fought anyone ranked! Should Vlad fight Sconiers?

Jim Lampley to George Foreman: "Have you seen enough holding, George, that you think Klitschko should be penalized?"

George Foreman: "No, I saw a lot of skill. He's holding, too much holding, don't get me wrong, but I call that skill - when you fight a puncher, you better do something."

´He´s doing illegal tactics every time and destroying every fight. This is not boxing. He should go to wrestling, it does fit him better. He´s no fighter.

For perspective, virtually every heavyweight era is considered to be weak at the time.

Those who experienced the 90s will remember that it was regularly derided as a joke, with the likes of Seldon and Botha wearing belts, and 40 something relics from the 70s exposing unbeaten titlists. Now the 90s are often seen as one of the strongest eras in history, particularly from a H2H perspective.

Likewise, in the 50s you had the likes of Nat Fleischer claiming that the top heavyweights were worse than the best fighters of the White Hope era. I've read reports from the 1930s claiming that the division had sunk to new lows.

With the benefit of hindsight and rose-tinted spectacles, things generally look different when the next batch of heavyweights come along.

Wlad has pretty much cleaned out the divison since 2006 (with one obvious exception), and with each passing year it becomes more and more difficult to claim that he has lucked out and happened to peak during the worst period ever in heavyweight history.

Wlad's fights are virtually unwatchable these days, but you'd have to be blinkered not to admit that he is one of the most dominant heavyweight champions of all time and deserves his place in history.

There doesn't appear to be an outstanding heavyweight on the horizon, and once the Klitschkos are gone they will probably benefit like Lewis did from comparisons with their successors.
