It's been over a year since Eddie Hearn has put a non PPV World Title fight from the UK on Sky Sport

People say "America pay 80 dollars or 100 dollars" or whatever, but why use America as an example ?
It's Eddie Hearn's line, and believe me, he probably has a long term plan to standardized and equalize the PPV fees so UK pays the same as America.

The thing he's not mentionining is that people in many other countries don't even have PPV, they still get the big fights without being slaves to the PPV model.

I would love to see Hearn answering a question like that. When you add in BT Sport too. It’s quite shocking that being a boxing fan is more expensive in this country than being a Preimer League Fan

Hearn and guys like Adam Smith, those public schoolboys type believe
every Boxing Fan is of the working class/blue collar style bloke who’s patriotic and nationalistic to the core.

He is very wrong. The vast majority are, but thankfully their are some educated white collar style men who know how to seperate the facts from
    the fiction.

The reason why American prices are higher is purely economic. US Dollar has the most purchasing power compared to the shitty pound. US Economy makes Americans per person very well off compared to their european counterparts

Americans more likely to have more disposable income because of this which means more inflation will mean retail prices are higher in the US. PS4 was around $499.999 in the US when it launched. In the UK it was £349.99. But of course Hearn won’t go into it.

Out of interest, I checked a few things about your post there. The PS4 launched in November 2013. At the time GBP was trading 0.62 against USD, so I think you've picked a bad example here, given that at the time, $499.99 actually equated to £309.99.

I am sure everyone here can afford £20 for 6 Sky PPVs, followed by another £20 for 4 ITV PPVs, followed by another £20 for the 4 BT Sport cards per year.

I say lets raise the price to £60 per card to match the US prices, and make all boxing cards PPV. The days when PPV was for a special fight or as a one off every year are now long gone. I am sure everyone has a spare £500 to spend on watching PPV boxing every year, after all money grows on trees.

There is a finite limit to how many PPVs the UK boxing punter will spring for every year and we are at that point now, especially with what is happening in December and due in the coming year.

Anyone done the maths on every fight this year?

BT is £55 a month for me, but that is internet and phone line. They have had what 3 PPVs, so another £60. ITV have had 4?

To sit in backside and watch boxing. You could probably have a 2 week trip to the Caribbean
