I think if Witter beats Hatton most fan would just think he was the better Man and more respect to him. I think Hatton will always have a fan base because of his style and personalty but getting beat by Witter would hurt Hatton pride wise more than anything else.

I think it is time for the reasoning to stop and for the fight to happen - this was OK a while ago, but with Witter blasting people out for fun (ok Hatton would probably do the same) he is well on the way to earning his shot.

I don't think he has done quite enough, but with all the other 140lb'ers being worse than Witter, surely this is good enough reason for the fight to happen.

Ricky, we all think your a legend, but don't turn into a cockhead like Mayweather, saying I will fight this one and that one, just fight the most legitimate opponent, which is Junior Witter.

 

Listen , i think Witter is worthy of a titleshot , i dont know if he would win , and i dont care , but whether you think he is good enough or not , the FACT is that he is the most deserving contender in the world for the 140 pound championship. I just dont like seeing a deserving contender ducked , it has happened throughout boxing history and is happening again now because of Hatton being a spiteful snake

Witter is the most deserving for a shot at Hatton - but it's not a lucrative option for Hatton. Much like Miguel Cotto isn't for Mayweather - though for different reasons.

I agree, the fight should happen. I would back Hatton to win by late stoppage.

 

You havent said that you disagree with it being totally wrong from a real boxing fan's point of view though - what Hatton is doing. I get what you're saying , but i think that Witter has been in the top ten for a long time at 140 , and because he has ascended to number 1 contender it is just the right thing that he gets a title shot.

PS Im not a Witter fan , just dont like seeing this
