For guys to even just compare the power tells you how hard this guy hits.

This kid has unreal punching power

Kovalev said Golovkin punches harder. Fighters who fought/sparred with both said Golovkin hits harder.

Why won't internet box fans not believe this then? :rofl

Maybe he does hit harder, I don't know. My original comment still stands though. I see you extreme Golovkin fans in for the same type of letdown as the Pac fans after ktfo 6. Don't get me wrong, I like Golovkin and think he is good boxer. However, I am not calling him the second coming of Marvin Hagler until he has fought some better competition.

Both have ridiculous power, that much is obvious.. Kovalev has fought the better fighters though.

Bruh, Golovkin isn't past prime yet. It's going to take a lot more than Lemiuex to knock him out right now.

I'm a big Golovkin fan and agree that his competition needs a step up. That said, a lot of the guys that he fought have been solid but not spectacular. I think that if he unifies he will be able to get the names that he needs to get.

Frankly I can't see him hitting harder than Kovalev - but just being compared to the monster 2 weight classes up tells me his power is very special.

I don't know if Golovkin is past prime or not and neither do you. I really don't know how good he is. Beating Lemiuex isn't going to settle that question either. When you have Cotto as the lineal champ of 160, it's hard to give Golovkin credit for beating guys ranked fourth and fifth in the division. I actually think Monroe will turn into a pretty good fighter further down the line but he wasn't ready for Golovkin at the time that they fought. In a couple of years he may be.

    lee,qullin,murray,stevens,lemieux would all destroy cotto

cotto stands no chance against those guys let alone golovkin

cotto has not even fought at 160

why would he be scared of a guy who built his resume on leftovers?

You know what they say about opinions. As it stands right now, Cotto is the lineal champ at 160 and that is an undisputable fact.

GGG is 33 and is not past prime, but a 32 year old Cotto was past prime when ? Beat him??? That makes absolutely no sense Tinman.
