It's disgraceful that Arreola gets Wlad...

First off Wlad has never been KO'd. He has been stopped, but has never not gotten back up in time to beat a count. Against Puritty, he was actually exhausted, but standing on his feet getting hit over and over again with clean power punches when his corner stopped the fight. That isn't the sign of a glass jaw. Against Sanders, he got knocked down repeatedly by a huge powerpuncher, who is a southpaw, with very fast hands... who he obviously didn't prepare for. Getting punched flush, REPEATEDLY by a person who is known to hit like a mule, and being knocked down... but getting back up, sure as hell isn't the sign of a dodgy jaw. Exacly what the hell is punching power good for if the only people who go down have dodgy jaws? You guys are completely out of touch if you don't understand that these huge men are exchanging punches for a living... people get caught, people get hurt, and people go down. Being knocked hurt by someone like Sanders sure as hell doesn't show a glass jaw... it shows Sanders' power. Did Joe Frazier have a glass jaw because Foreman crushed him? When a power puncher hits you flush, with a power shot, IT IS SUPPOSED TO HURT YOU... when he hits you several times like Sanders hit Wlad... it is GOING to put you down, regardless of your chin. That was a flaw in Wlad's game at the time, unprepared, and having no clue what to do when he got hurt... he has fixed that flaw. Against Brewster, Wlad's lips were blue for god's sakes... the entire commentating crew had just commented on how spent Wlad was... and Brewster then hit Wlad with TWO huge left hooks... the same left hooks that melted his other opponents on the spot... and an exhausted Wlad STILL did not hit the canvas. He backed up, took more shots from Brewster, and STILL did not go down. Even when the ref gave him a standing 8... Wlad was clearly just gasping for air... it wasn't even an issue of just being hurt by the punches. However... the point is that glass jawed fighter DO NOT stay on their feet when they are hit with punches like that. Glass jawed fighter GO DOWN, and OUT.

Once again... Wlad has not shown to have a glass jaw. He has never been stopped by one punch... and he has never been knocked out cold. Wlad used to have balance issues, that left him in bad positions after he threw some of his punches... Steward helped him fix that as well... which is why we aren't seeing it anymore. No pacing problems, and fixing his balance issues have shown us that Wlad doesn't have stamina problems, and Wlad doesn't have a glass chin. He has been hit by HARD punches in the chin, and stayed on his feet. Peter hit Wlad with a MONSTER left hook at the end of the 3rd round in their fight, and Wlad didn't even flinch. Once again... not the actions of a fighter with a glass jaw. Although, some haters will come on soon to tell you how Sam Peter hitting Wlad in the back of the head, or not hitting him at all in the second knockdown shows a glass jaw.:roll:

 

The belief that Wlad's jaw is complete glass is what causes fighters to do so poorly against him. They sit there thinking, "Oh, I'm going to land a big shot and it's all over". What they end up doing is standing in front of a bigger stronger guy with longer arms who hits harder than they do. Then they get KOed.

Boxing 101. Don't stand and trade with a big puncher. Knockouts need to be set up. Wlad may not be Oliver McCall, but your not going to simply walk up to him , throw a punch and send him home crying either. After all his fights, I don't see why fighters don't see this. They musty only look at the tapes of the last round vs Brewster.
Arreola will do the same thing, cause he's doesn't have the skill or training to try anything else.

 

I don't understand why some of these guys don't go for broke in the first 3 rounds or so. Ibragimov just stood there and leaned back the whole fight. Had he been aggressive like he was in previous fights he had a chance for a KO. I blame Jeff Mayweather for his cautious style in that fight. Hell if he got Koed who cares at least he would have tried.

I would follow the Sanders game plan go right at Wlad with straight punches right to the Chin.

good lord Haye's chin is total Glass the guy even admits it. Do you think for one second Haye would get up 4 times from Corrie Sanders punches? Keep dreaming Haye nuthuggers. The guy has an admitted Glass Jaw.

 

Arreola now has plenty of motivation to loose some of that fat and do something with this opportunity. Wlad shouldn't have ran from the Haye challenge and pass it to his brother.

 

And if Vice Versa happens, I hope Arreola makes Wlad wait 1 ****ing year for a Rematch, even if he has to give up an ABC Strap to do it!:good

 

Nice matchups as far as I'm concerend. I'd favor both the Klits in these fights, but atleast Arreola has half a chance at tapping Wlad's weak ass chin and knocking him out. While he has absolutely zero chance at beating Vitali IMO.

 

What doesn't it matter? Both of these guys would get starched by EITHER Klitschko. Who cares which one gets rid of these shaky-chinned hype jobs?

 

Yes, in a depleted cruiserweight division, and against sub 200lb guys!
