This will be the exact same title I will put in a post in the future IF and when Manny beats Floyd. I am a Manny fan and if he does win I don't want any excuses or whining. (unless there is video of Manny aiming below the belt or putting cement in his gloves.) I like Manny and I want him to win. But I will admit Floyd is a very sharp fighter. I'm also getting tired of all these flame wars. People wouldn't be demanding this fight if there was a feeling that one side was essentially guaranteed victory. Really in the end we aren't going to convince each other away from the guy we're backing. In the end these two are very dangerous for each other. Manny with his precision and pace. Floyd with his precision and control. If Floyd wins I'll still hate him for his lack of class outside of the ring, but I'll give him his props for being the better fighter in the end. In the end we just know something crazy is gonna happen. Also instead of making crappy post about how much you want to suck your own fighter's nuts, why not grow a pair and try to make a fair and plausible argument for the opponent. That goes for Floydiots and *******s.
The two factors i see influencing this fight are Manny's balance (encompassed in the term defense) when he attacks, and Floyd's capability of dealing with those attacks. The the latter factor I am referencing whether he stays cool and calm in the pocket and shrewdly, but masterfully counters, or does he become uncomfortable, withers, and suffers a brutal defeat. As I write this post I've come to the conclusion that there is another variable to consider: Manny's "in a fight with Floyd Mayweather" ring speed (punching, footwork, etc.) vs Floyd's "wow this lil Filipino ******* has got to be on sumthin') ring speed. How actually react to one another is going to truly be fascinating to watch, and based on speed and aggressiveness I am going an a limb here and saying I am officially going to bet $500 on PacMan to win, regardless of the line. Now the fight just has to happen...
Oh, and before I forget... could somebody please tell me how to get the thread posts to start from top to bottom, first to last, on the interface. I've looked everywhere I think (but evidently not) and can't fix it. It is only like this when I log in and it really is frustrating. I've actually been frequenting other boxing sites WAY more frequently because it is pissing me off so bad. Please help. And by the way I'm referring to " In Thread" posts, not the actually thread listings page. Thanks in advance... P.S. Nice thread....
Please dont hate me for saying this but i still cant see Manny beating floyd. I truely belive that floyd will be be able to deal with mannys speed say after 3 rounds of working him out. You dont have to agree with this statment but i would say DLH vs PBF was a good indication as to how floyd can deal with punches in bunches, similar, but not exactly the same as how manny throws them. Lets also not forget that floyd is the bigger man and i am guessing has the longer reach. I am sure Manny can out brawl him but It wont ever get to being a brawl as one thing about floyd is he controls the pace of the fight. Also i saw signs of fatigue for manny in the cotto fight. If floyd gets too confortable fighting in a phone box as manny cant hit him pbf will be much fresher than manny in the last few rounds as he will throw too many missing punches. Manny would have to come out a different fighter and really work on his defence or i see a UD for floyd. But lets not forget that Roach will have a game plan so if manny comes out a different fighter to what he usually does, there could be an upset. I think Mannys defense will either win him or looose him the fight. I just feel the way he throws punches and his lack of jabbing and smaller reach plays into floyds style.
Well I guess you have no reason to see the fight then. It's not fun watching something when you already know the result. Even for this last Pac fight against Cotto I had to watch it a few hours after the fight. I felt Pac had the ability to win the fight, but as they say in football any given Sunday. And to all Floyd fans who can only think with 100% certainty that he's going to win I say **** this fight. I'm honestly getting tired of this ****. I can actually appreciate the anticipation that there really isn't a clear victor here. And if you're so ****ing certain on Floyd put your ****ing house on the line. In the end this fight isn't for you guys then, Floyd can have Mosely or one of the other TRUE welterweights. I'm in this fight for the perseverance and tenacity. I'm here to see if the fighter I'm rooting can get over the mountain.
By the way I'm also a fan of Lyoto Machida in MMA. His fighting style is similar to Floyd's. He can hit without getting hit. Of course I feel his last match sucked, but I still enjoy watching him because he doesn't **** on the people paying to watch him fight. He's got respect for the game and for the other fighters.
And in fact while we're at it why not have Floyd retire again and go back to the WWE he can totally fit in with the people who 'pretend' to act like assholes. At least he'll be with people of like mind and intelligence.
When viewing the threads look at the top row that says: thread/thread starter, rating, latest post etc. Just click on "latest post" so the arrow is pointing down to sort it in order of the last post posted in a thread. I hope that was what you meant. BTW I really hope that the fight happens and that Manny tries to control the pace like he did against Cotto. Of course it will be difficult, but it will make the fight more exciting compared to a scenario where Mayweather sets the pace and tries to counterpunch all night. Pacquiao shouldn't try to out-think Mayweather during the fight imo
